For some reason, this clue brings me great joy. I would almost be ecstatic with this clue.

Why would he take off an 'E' in order to add it right back on again?

I suspect that he was just feeling capricious.

I am genuinely saddened at the passing of Sir Ken Dodd, a legend of the British comedy circuit. I saw his show many times and, it's no exaggeration, they really did run to 5 hours. That a man in his 80s and 90s could run that length of material with no signs of fatigue was a testament to how talented he really was.

I never heard him tell a rude joke, but he always made me laugh out loud.

Just bought a bluetooth keyboard for my Fire TV Stick, because it`s a pain searching with the standard remote (and it has no voice, thankfully)
And it works on the WookieTab as well, which means I don`t have to use the current stupid version of the onscreen KB! Yay!
It`s pretty small, and doesn`t have a single quote, oddly but ... SHIFT STAYS DOWN WHILE I HOLD IT!
And if you can thumb type texts, it's fine.

I've had a couple of BT keyboards. The first one was the same size as my 8" tablet (which is 1 mm wider than an iPad mini, so none of the aftermarket cases quite fit, but that's another story. ) It had an odd selection of keys. No arrows for a start, which was quite a PITA. It didn't survive a visit from the granddaughters a couple of years ago.
The one I have now is somewhat bigger (285 x 122 mm) but it's full size (19mm key spacing) and has a Windows layout. Not too different from many laptop keyboards, except it's missing Ins/Home/End/PgUp/PgDn. (I suspect there may be Fn- equivalents, but I haven't found them.) They were also available with Apple and Android layouts. I forget the details, but at least one of those was missing Esc, and there was some messup with Del/Backspace.
Cheers,
Peter

This one is really tiny - 16cm x 4.5cm and has ESC and arrows, but no TAB.

not even one quote? How about daily thoughts?

I just use the app on my phone for that. My wife would smack me for adding yet another TV-operating remote to the collection.

Flippy the burger flipping robot is on a break, already[^]
So no, robots aren't coming for your jobs any time soon; not that the media will change their headlines, panic sells better than reality

Flippy didn't fail. The humans couldn't keep up...we need more robots!

It still failed to become part of the production line, with a very limited task. I can't help but to think that a specialized toaster would outperform the robotic arm any day.

Then it's time to call Flipper to the rescue (though he might be more specialized in fish-burgers)

Why pay $150k for a robot when you can get a mexican for $10?
Some jobs will never be automated.

$60k initial purchase, then $12k per year on maintenance. That's an expensive toaster

Yeah, the maintenance alone is almost a salary. Really, robots do some things well, but really, many jobs just cant be automated.

It may work for the places that sell cheap hamburgers that need to be exact the same; and even then, I'd prefer a human made burger - would you pay $5 for a bit meat from a toaster?
