Yup, got the new phone and it's a smooth, responsive piece of kit with an outstanding camera.

I got a 60 euro 'go pro' style camera that is 4k HD. And I have an old galaxy for making calls.

Indeed, I find it particularly good at making calls.
(And the camera produces pics of staggeringly good quality, and has a waterproof case down to god knows how many feet. You can even attach it to stuff with many bits of plastic thingies. )

I gave up on top-end 'phones when my Galaxy S5 died.
The S9+ should be released here in a couple of weeks at about £900.
My Doogee X9 Pro (perfectly adequate 'phone with a lousy camera) cost about £80, leaving me £820 to spend on a camera should I ever require one.
That said, if I was going to spend silly money on a 'phone, the S9+ does look pretty cool!

me too, I thought he said pizza kit. If the S9+ came with an endless make your own pizza kit, it'd be worth every penny.

Did you have an S8+ previously? If so, what are the main improvements in your opinion? Thanks Pete.

I had the S7 Edge. The screen is larger but the cameras are significantly improved. The phone is faster as well. A lot faster.
