What do you mean "Even IBM"?
IBM hasen't been "even" for decades.
The pose like they are but that's so hopefully people won't notice.

I think nobody can design a working Website in the sense that it does work more than two weeks... when in between Browsers are updated.
It does not solve my Problem, but it answers my question

iexplorer was complaining about the certificates of a site (saying it needed to be catalogued as "untrusty" / "unsecure") in an endless loop making it impossible to navigate. Mind you that the site was... "www.msn.com"

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

Well, I'm a bit surprised... fair enough to begin with, but I thought after the "hint" (which was more of a let's-bash-them-over-the-head-with-it than a hint, it was so unsubtle) that someone would get it quickly.
Work (is HEAT and heat is work, (First Law of Thermodynamics, sort of)) the woman (HER) in plant (HEATHER)
So shoot throw snowballs at me....
Here's the hint[^] again, for those that missed it

I got "HER", but I couldn't sus out more than that ...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Had heather almost immediately but then overlooked it

Was strolling in the heather, but got lost

The clue should have been, "Plant the woman after work". The way you wrote it I was trying to fit "her" into the name of some plant to produce a word that means work.

Yes, it might have been better that way round - but that's no excuse If you can't get things to fit one way, you try others...

That's the COBOL way.

Isn't the first law of thermodynamics something to do with the amount of energy in a system being constant?

The link I provided explains it all very succinctly. (Like I said, never mind actual science - what's that got to do with anything these days?)

So... you are working and a bunch of updates get downloaded...
Then you can see a popup telling you that you can decide when to do the updates.
You decide to do it tonight and select that option.
You uninstall a software and need to restart the computer...
I thought... nah... now it will update it and I'll have to wait... but...
Oh my surprise, I've been able to select "restart" and not "restart and update".
Now is restarting...
AND updating...
At least is lunch time...

debatable.
98% of so called "updates" have no bearing on what people do with their computers. Why cant microsoft call a spade a spade?
doing sh*t just because we fell like it, and maybe, just maybe if you're lucky we may actually fix some other sh*t we got wrong.

I've been on Windows 10 with a work laptop for almost 2 months; I get the updates when they push them which is seldom.
Do personal users have to update? Can you choose to NOT update?

You have to use the Local Group Policy Editor, which gives you similar functionality that was (more readily) available in the control panel in Win7.

JSOP's on the right track.
I have enough VMs here at home that I can justify running my own WSUS server (so what updates find their way in is totally under my control), but I suppose you could run the local group policy editor, and configure it to use a non-existent WSUS server. So...no update would ever show up.
Then if there's something you think you absolutely need, you can go to catalog.update.microsoft.com and download whatever you want.
