Yup, got the new phone and it's a smooth, responsive piece of kit with an outstanding camera.

I got a 60 euro 'go pro' style camera that is 4k HD. And I have an old galaxy for making calls.

Indeed, I find it particularly good at making calls.
(And the camera produces pics of staggeringly good quality, and has a waterproof case down to god knows how many feet. You can even attach it to stuff with many bits of plastic thingies. )

I gave up on top-end 'phones when my Galaxy S5 died.
The S9+ should be released here in a couple of weeks at about £900.
My Doogee X9 Pro (perfectly adequate 'phone with a lousy camera) cost about £80, leaving me £820 to spend on a camera should I ever require one.
That said, if I was going to spend silly money on a 'phone, the S9+ does look pretty cool!

me too, I thought he said pizza kit. If the S9+ came with an endless make your own pizza kit, it'd be worth every penny.

Did you have an S8+ previously? If so, what are the main improvements in your opinion? Thanks Pete.

I had the S7 Edge. The screen is larger but the cameras are significantly improved. The phone is faster as well. A lot faster.

It seems that everyone that's been "upgraded" to Win10 were put on a new domain, but they can't connect to resources on the old domain.
Our department was supposed to be updated to Win10 last night, but evidently a glitch in the Matrix has once again foiled DHA's nefarious plans.
Qlikview is one of the glitches (a problem with named user licenses). Further, we have two Qlikview web sites. One works when users connect from a Win10 box, and one doesn't, and nobody seems to be able to determine the reason.
Meanwhile, the DBAs are downstairs freaking out because they're afraid we're going to be given SQL2014 BIDS tools, and we're still running SQL2008R2. I'm surprised at their level of concern, especially due to the fact that when we talk to them about SQL jobs and SSIS packages, they insist they're "not programmers". When they sent me their panicked emails, I responded, "Why don't you let the programmers worry about that?". Curiously, I have to go downstairs for a meeting on Monday with the CIO.

Just curious if any pre-go live testing was done. Sounds like nothing was done to prep for go-live.

None. At. All.
The Qlikview thing truly baffles me. Nobody seems to know what to do next. I think I know what they should do next, but I suspect they're not really interested in extracting their heads from their anal pores.

We're experiencing similar here. One of our agencies updated to Win10 back in August and have had nothing but trouble. To make matters worse, they didn't even check security policies or compatibility with the web filter appliance. Sites that worked on 7 are not loading in 10 while on the agency's network.
On the flip side, another agency has set up test boxes for Win10 so people can make sure in house development and third party programs work. To this point, none of the developers have tested their programs.
