That's a question only a mail chauvinist would ask.

As a practical joke at halloween somebody sent a guy in my office an envelope with a fake spider in it (he hates spiders!).
Only time I ever saw hand delivered eeeeeeeee!-mail
I'm pretty sure I would not like to live in a world in which I would never be offended.
I am absolutely certain I don't want to live in a world in which you would never be offended.

Hi All,
Hopefully the hive mind can help where Uncle Google has let me down. Marvin my faithful andriod has upgraded it's Email system (nice Icon!) I had lost the little envelope in the top corner that let you know email had arrived. The Gmail still works, the other email does not... Any clues?

Are you able to install Keiten Mail and Notify Lite from play.google.com ??
|
|

I was not aware of Keiten Mail, I will have a look later.

Yes, of course. And also, check if it's compatible with your Android platform.

I installed the MS launcher and I like it.
On the search bar, as soon as I tap it, it shows frequently used apps. Anyone here knows how to remove that?

Try Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications

Nope. This is not on the applications view. This is shown when I tap search bar provided by MS launcher. I can't seem to find any setting to customize the launcher.

You say you like it, but now want to remove it.

I don't want to remove the launcher. I just want to customize the search bar to not to show frequently used apps. Rest of it if actually quite good.

why?
search bar? how many apps do you have that you need a search?
sounds awful and a like waste of real estate - and on them small screens there's not a lot of that.
Signature ready for installation. Please Reboot now.

Search bar: That search text box on the home page where I can Google things. By default it shows frequent apps as well. That is really annoying since I don't want all that.

I installed it a month ago, though one of my colleague showed me once but i didn't bothered to pay attention to that, but after i installed, i am quite happy, search bar searches in complete phone whatever you search, it will look in contacts, files, etc and yes frequently used apps and tap on screen sets it off too. I am very happy with it

It is funny how quickly one forgets things one used intensively in the past. I guess the old brain has a limited capacity in its fast cache.
Anyway, Ubuntu artful, nice looking OS. Bit of a hump getting used to GNOME after Unity, but it is fun to be playing with it again.

Can you explain this a bit more? Is this part of the kernel? a kernel-mode driver you are talking about?
