Hmmm, as I typed I am not good before 11:00 at the earliest opinions is what I meant...

Two cups of tea usually do it for me. Or when I was working, three cups.

What, you wanted serious answers.
For the office I have an Aeropress. Just choose your favorite brand of coffee, ground or beans, put in the press (after grinding if you have beans ), press it down and hey presto great coffee. It makes less mess than those cafetiere's and is easier to clean.

How long does it take to make a coffee for you? Without leaving my desk, I can make an espresso in ... [makes another shot] ... less than a minute!

About five to ten minutes, I have to leave my desk, which is a good thing IMHO, its nice to stretch my legs and get away from the screen.

You spend an hour a day making coffee? Sheesh!

I know, but I do so on my employer's time and they don't complain. It's lucky you are not my boss.

I have a professional coffee grinder at home. Just ground coffee tastes better.

Cafetiere - I took one to my last company, as the "coffee" was so bad. You can get single cup versions, and they work nicely (as well as preventing anyone else feeling slighted that you only made a "pot for yourself" with your own coffee.
Freshly ground is the best, but the ready ground stuff is a lot less hassle - I'm drinking "Taylor's of Harrogate 'Hot Lava Java'" which suits me.
I know @Nagy-Vilmos rates these: Portable espresso machine, car and travel espresso maker - Handpresso[^] but they seem a bit too much trouble for a couple of teaspoons of caffeine ...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

- I grind my coffee normally each morning; currently using Rouiba Strong Roast, but I'm about to run out and I'll switch to Omnia or Karavel [all unavailable in the UK as far as I know, but, you know, snob]
- I'm only replying to this as I stopped to make a coffee with my handpresso and it was bloody good.
- It takes me a minute to make a single shot and it gives good thinking time.
- With a flask, it's a lot quicker than going to the kitchen every hour.
And finally, style.

Cafetiere coffee is, for me, weak and devoid of flavour. A miniscule step up from filter.
Pod coffee is okay [+/- okay]. The problem, for me, is that the water is generally circulated, so it passes over the ground multiple times. This is not a good thing, more of the rough flavours are drawn out that way; think the vile dyed water at a US 'Gas Station'.
Go for espresso, real espresso. A good machine at home - I have a Kitchenaid Artisan [amongst others] and a portable for away and work. My preference is the handpresso, snob and cool, but the aeropress is a pretty cheap alternative; not perfect but okay.
And as for powder? That shi stuff is worse than decaf and isn't fit for the compost!
There may be other opinions but, as you'll know, they are wrong.

One mention of coffee and Nagy is back, I'm sure the same would of happened if this post was titled "Gin, Beefeater, Tanqueray, Bombay Sapphire, Clear Go Go Juice"

If it's instant vs pods I'll take the former, who really wants plastic coffee?
Weak, wasteful, expensive, fad.
If it's instant vs starbucks, hmmm, I'll take the enema - at least there will be some sensation.

At work, we have a Keurig and I drink Green Mountain Dark Magic.
At home, we have a Cuisinart and use ground coffee, Maxwell House, and well water.
No, it isn't preppy, pricy or perfect.. but since my wife and I are the ones drinking it, so as long as we are content with it, it shouldn't matter to others.

Israeli-style Turkish coffee. Ideally, it should be made over an open flame in a finjan, but security are unaccountably fussy about allowing open flames in the office.
It meets Voltaire's standard for the ideal cup of coffee: Hot as hell, black as sin, and sweet as love.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

I have a coffee cooker for making Arabic/Turkish coffee. It is little more than an exposed element that gets hot as [redacted]. Makes damned good coffee though!
