Yes, the biggest thing that ms seems not to have recognised is that people don't need half an acre of space to accurately touch-click a button or key.
I blame the abject failure of windows mobile for this -- the poor chaps probably aren't allowed to use apple or android phones, and even they don't want to use winphones, so they've never had the opportunity to see how easy it is to type a text message using a near-microscopic smartphone OSK.

Yeah - the Google one (GBoard) is really good - swipe instead of tap, and the predictive text is pretty good. It still mixes up "Code" and "Coffee" but that's understandable, they are interrelated!

I use the Hackers Keyboard[^], simply because it's got all the keys and they behave as expected.
It doesn't do slide typing, though -- but I miss that less than I'd miss arrow keys, Ctrl, F-keys, etc.

Looks good - can you switch between it and GBoard for different apps?
I may well stick it on the WookieTab since a slide K/B is too slow due to the screen size.

There should be some media to install Windows from and the very important certificate and license agreement, Make that junk unusable and send it back to Mickeysoft, along with a letter of appreciation.
If they get enough of these, they may perhaps realize why nobody wants their stuff, not even 'free'.
