VLC Player can rotate it. ctrl+e to open the affect. Look under geometry.
For reencoding, maybe try avidemux.

Is that the magic word I am seeking ? i.e., "reencoding" ?

Appears to be the same thing as VLC player; i.e., he can produce the image on the screen, but he can't save that changed image into a video file which looks like that for other viewers.
I looked on the help and saw something on an internet forum, but couldn't follow the words well enough to transform them into clicks on a screed that produced any result in file that lasts
Corrections and explanations of where to click are welcome.

Here is a basic guide that should get you started.

From following those instructions, I seem to have the one option of an "AVI" file.
Is that the best format for this purpose ?
My input video clips have the extension ".3gp" which I had never seen before I acquired this phone.
Right now I've only transformed one video clip, so I don't know if I'm telling the truth, but at the moment it appears (to the unaided and inexperienced eyes here) that this transformation costs me just a small amount in video quality.
Anyway, great explanation and I'm on my way now.
Thank you, big time, for real.

Glad you came right
Re-encoding will result in slight quality loss. Mpeg 4 avc (x264) as the output format will have a bit better quality, but then you need to set the output format to mp4 v2 muxer. Most devices should support mp4 by now.

And now if I could just output as a 3GP file, the world would be so fine.

From the info I found you need to use H.263 as the video codec, AAC as the audio and save it as a mp4. I think you can then just rename it to .3gp

Adjust your body until the video appears in the proper orientation.

Hi
Both you & PeeJay got it around the same time, but unless there's precedent set, I'll give it to PeeJay as he spent longer entering the solution too, so may have had it slightly earlier.
PeeJay up on Monday!

Saw that this morning. Very sad. Love the Allman Brothers. I wonder what drove him to it?
I wonder if 2017 will claim as many greats of music as 2016?

Just wanted to see what the lounge consensus is for cloud migration. Winner / choice and why?
At a previous job, we hosted on Amazon, and I remember they had some proprietary scheme for db backups where you couldn't get at your backup except to restore it on their servers/systems. Anybody know if this is still a constraint?

Went from Amazon to Azure as it is a much simpler product. Been very content with the outcome.
