Well........it is still sinking in!
There has been a bit of a $h!t-storm out of it all....and I think I got off relatively lightly compared to others, albeit was worse than I expected!
So....it looks like it is going to be option 3! But, still to finally decide which country is on the cards, although Cyprus is still the probable destination.
So the next 5 months are going to be a roller coaster. The kids still don't know, the wife is overloaded with emotion and the volume of information to and decisions to make is starting to mount! Meanwhile, I am still in the middle of the sea where nothing else is being talked about.
On the plus side, the work email has almost come to a stop!
Only thing to do is psychologically accept the situation and form/execute the plan!
Thanks for asking.

I thought I would post this here before putting it in Sugs & Bugs, in case it's just me.
Some of my clients have switched to W10, and are now using Edge, so I thought I ought to use it for a bit to become familiar with its more obvious idiosyncrasies. However, when posting in CP, I only get two, or at best three lines in the preview box, with no scroll bar.
So, two questions:
0. Does anybody else use Edge, and
1. If so, do you have the same problem.
Ha! ...and I have just noticed that if I hit the tab key, the cursor disappears completely!

0) No, it's just you.

You're absolutely right. I have found what I was doing wrong - I wasn't using Chrome.

PS - it's still doing it.

Edge: Result of a panic attack at MS.
Realizing that internet explorer would be a problem, that is in having a product that actually worked correctly, was complete and the clincher: in line with with what is considered normal they had no choice but to ditch it and start on a replacement product that would have the typical ms missing functionalities, non standard, and prone to stop working for no good reason (occasionally but not always providing diagnostic output that is nowhere complete enough to be useful when it does fail.)
anyway I'm sure in privacy mode (does it hve that yet) it's won't share your history and passwords with anyone except themselves.

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I used to be an MS basher, and for good reasons. Then I started learning SAP. I've since learned to shut up and count my blessings.

well it's true, the last ie was finally a completely normal working product, people could create pages that didn't have special handling just for ie11. Not that I used it, (except on some customer servers that I insisted they keep 100% vanilla except for their business apps).
ie had lost me as a customer long ago - even free it was still to expensive - first thing removed from my own pc's after downloading ff. (Sorry, no chrome - way too resource sucky on lite boxes.)

Did you mean "providing diagnostic output that in no way provides even the slightest connection to the problem"?

So, I take it that you have to choose between CP and Edge.
So - what. exactly, is the question?

I put Mr. Google through paroxysms of agony by using Bing as the default search engine in Chrome. (Closest thing we have to an evil smiley)

Microsoft doesn't do well naming its browsers.
People don't usually want to live on the Edge, i.e. you should be using Chrome!
