Our cat Oreo gave birth to two kittens on 20th April. Even today, nearly 50 days after birth, these two kittens are suckling on their mother.
Of course we're feeding the mother cat well, but is there any optimal time when these kittens should be separated from their mother cat? Surely the mother cat cannot supply her milk indefinitely, isn't it?

there a variety of opinions about this; the mother's teats may not dry up for 6 to 8 weeks. weaning should be a natural response by the mother. [^]

Front pair: 32psi, 42psi.
Rear pair: 20psi, 60psi. That could explain the harsh-and-floaty ride quality.
I know nobody ever cares or even checks courtesy cars, but ... you'd think a garage would at least check occasionally.

I thought y'all used the metric system? Shouldn't you be measuring in kilopascals or bar or some such nonsense?

I think in PSI, but I set the tyres in bar. Go figure, I can't!

Well, my tireshop owner inflated my tires at 3 bar. No wonder I had a bumpier and less gripping car about 6 months after I bought it, it's when I changed to M+S tires.

The correct pressure setting(s) is normally on a sticker on the door pillar these days - I believe it was standardised some years ago?

You would think this is the correct pressure. The problem is it's not. The correct pressure is always somewhere between the door placard sticker pressure and the maximum sidewall pressure on the tire.
For those who remember the Ford Explorer rollover fiasco a couple of decades ago, Firestone flat out stated that the door placard sticker on the Ford Explorer set the tire pressures so low that as soon as you put four adults in the vehicle you had overloaded the tires from a safety standpoint.

The differently intelligent mechanic uses the maximum pressure stated on the tire itself.

That's not how capitalism works, is it? Maybe find a competing garage?

That's really both extremes, to the point of being seriously dangerous. One could easily just fall off the rim taking a curve too fast; the other could easily blow out hitting a pothole. Is the dealer trying to kill you?
If that's the sort of maintenance they're willing to put into their own courtesy car, you have to question what they'll be doing to yours.
Point it out when you bring it back to them.

I pointed it out to them by email when I spotted it - and that the tyre pressure warning light hadn't gone out when I fixed 'em.
