I work for one of the big ones and IT has not approved Windows 8/8.1 or 10 for use on employee workstation/laptop.
Obviously we need to test our software on those platforms, so we have a number of VMs and physical systems with Windows 8.1 and 10 in our labs.

I think the progress of migrating is slow to Windows 10, but it's only a matter of time before they will have no choice. Microsoft will not allow another XP type situation. Also vendors that claim they are certified to work on Windows platforms will eventually need to move to Windows 10 else they will lose their certification.

Yes, indeed the majority of business have already migrated to Windows 10 since unlike Windows 7/8/8.1 it provides a better performance as well as having the number of new features such as the same platform for either PC and mobile gadgets like tablets and phones.

care to back that up with real info (both "majority of business" as well as "better performance", because every other reply to this question here and elsewhere, (and my own experience) says exactly the opposite is true, and as to performance out of the box it is the same (and worse than a hyper-tuned w7 - which btw can not be done to w10 to anywhere near the same level.)
And the question was MAJOR companies, not uncle Ernies Corner Deli.

We did it. No big deal.

We did it. Simple. No big deal at all. At least no different than other major OS upgrades in the past.

Probably it thought "woah this is a badass, if I hit him again I'm in for a lot of trouble!". Actually it often works with animals, either they are trying to prey on you - in that case you're elephanted - or after you seriusly hit them they don't pursue. Even most guard dogs can be put into submission this way, that's why there are packs of guard dogs where needed.
