Going into a lunchtime interview smelling of pubs is probably not going to help you get the job...

I usually find somewhere to park up nearby and have a final read through my notes (who is interviewing me, what the company does etc) and then walk into reception with 5 - 10 minutes to go. Turning up an hour early is not good form as your interviewers have planned your interview around their own busy workloads which you have duly thrown a spanner into.

You can't once it has replies - only Admins and Protectors can do that.
Which means I can, but I don't really feel like helping you with anything at the moment ... I wonder why?

Don't take it personal mate. Just delete the old thread (if you can) and let's move on. Please see if you know the answer else thanks a lot for trying.

I have deleted your comments and questions below that appear to violate the rules of the lounge. I am not deleting the thread though.

Brilliant. Thanks for your help.
You can delete the thread as well as it is taking space unnecessarily.

Not due to a limitation of the database. One could easily remove the child-records, or set the database-server to cascade.
It is not his thread, and thus, not his to remove. Some people may have put efforts in answering, it would be rather rude to simply throw those answers out because someone finds the thread no longer interesting.

Or you could read the bit in red at the top of the page, and ask this in the right place?

Asked already on 23-Nov-16 12:07 but no response yet. So finally reaching out to lounge audience for pointers. Anyways let's not deviate from the topic.
Thanks

Actually let's not deviate from the topic of this forum - no programming questions. What would happen if everyone who didn't get a response in QS posted here instead? There'd be no space for all the threads about Trump.

But I will give you a tip:
Edit your initial question to get it back on top of the list.
But don't do it multiple times. That would be treated as abusive.

I'll give him better advice: don't edit it just to get it back to the top of the list. That is abuse, because if everyone did it you'd never see the "real" questions for the "bumped" ones.

You are probably right.
But I would accept a one time edit - preferably with changed updated content - rather than reposts.

Updated to actually add info is fine - but just "bumping" is rude and arrogant. And it's generally those with the dumbest questions that do it the most...
