They paid Google to do that.

The best thing about is: You can't calculate anything with decimals if you're in programmer mode... You have to switch to another mode for that.
I prefer one mode for all purposes instead of being forced to switch to different modes. Whoever thought this was a grand idea needs to be slapped as well.

That problem has existed in all versions of Calculator as far back as I can remember.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

It was a possible with the Windows XP calculator at least. I don't remember if it got removed with Windows Vista/7 or later. I thought it was still possible with Windows 7 though, but I might be wrong here.

Nope. I'm on 7 and just tried. No decimals in Programmer mode, which is kind of WTF

Agree 100%.
But that would be too good.

Not for Hex or Binary input. But at least I didn't have to switch to another mode just for calculating something with decimals

I have been calculating the timing values for machine code routines recently and ran into that problem.

The problem seems to be between the desk chair and the keyboard.
I had no trouble finding it

Yes, Sander. You are a Genius of a whole other magnitude, because you could find this.
Does that affirm you for today?
See you tomorrow.

That's really interesting that where you live, that you live in tomorrow.
Here where I live, we are always forced to live in today.
No wonder you are such an amazing person, coder, writer. It's because you live in the future.

Didn't you see it said, "Touch Friendly"? That means "Function Light". Duh!
You just made me revisit the Calculator on my Windows 7 system... it's a great calculator!

Haha Win 3.1 Great stuff. Miss it so much.
Those were the days of .ini files and the desktop you couldn't use unless you had desktop dropper shell, which became popular just months before win95 released, then everyone forgot about it.

In scientific mode, click the UP ARROW button. All of the function buttons are replaced. x^2 becomes x^3, sin becomes arcsin, and log becomes ln.

Luckily, Calc.exe runs fine from early Windows versions if you like that format. I keep another apps folder for just these old app things. I also Like the old, and simpler, PHOTOED.exe. Note you may need a few dlls to go along with them.
