And security services will guard you forever. You will be able to chase after other's girlfriends without afraid of retaliation.

Former Presidents and Veeps only get Secret Service protection for 8 years after their out of office.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
Everything makes sense in someone's mind.
Ya can't fix stupid.

I was a Trumper from day 1. I am a white male who grew up on the free lunch program just outside of detroit, where I was born.
I graduated in 1992 after 7 years of college, where I had to work full-time to put myself through school (with some financial AID, tons of loans, and pell grants too).
My daughters Hattian (for context) friend of many years exclaimed that if it were not for my WHITE PRIVILEGE, I would not have done so well. I worked 3 jobs for most of my adult life, and started my own business, on the side, over 10 years, while working full-time elsewhere.
I am DEEPLY offended by these comments, and she throws them out like it is somehow true.
There are HAVES and HAVE NOTS in this country to be sure.
Those who HAVE WORKED harder than their peers
Those who HAVE EDUCATED themselves
Those who HAVE EARNED their income
and those who HAVE NOT...
But I don't hate this young lady. I think of her as a daughter, in fact. A misguided one to be sure. She never suffered slavery here, because she is a first generation American.
I say ALL of this to set the following stage...
Enough Divisive Language.
I want EVERYONE in America to do well. Honestly!
I want EVERYONE who is willing to work, to have that opportunity.
I am not against immigrants, I am against Free Loaders, and Illegal Immigration.
I am against lawlessness. We have the best police in the world. Honestly. Get pulled over in Mexico and have them put you in the back of a police car. Your odds of disappearing are now REAL!
I am against a media that constantly allows people to MISSTATE the truth, and fails to help set the record straight. (Trump NEVER Intended that ALL MEXICANS are rapists, etc. He was speaking about Illegals that were coming here, and the people the Mexican Government was glad to see go. But the media glosses over this, and allows a false narrative to live to attack and divide us).
Trump is INELEGANT, IMPREFECT and quite Human.
So, while I want to scream "we saved our country from some horrible ideas"...
I also want to say:
Now is the time we must ALL roll up our sleeves and help.
We as consumers must CALL OUT the media for being divisive
We must call out others for being divisive
We must EXPECT that laws should either be changed or enforced, but never ignored!
We must come together... Because We The People are all this republic has.
I love All Americans. Even the ones with differing political views. I hate only horrible people.
Lets treat our government as OLD CODE that needs to be refactored.
DrainTheSwamp: This means Term Limits, and breaking the established $=Power paradigm
BuildTheWall: Means... We have OUR LAND, OUR RESOURCES, and we have the right to CHOOSE who we share them with, and to what degree.
MAGA For Everyone: Means that we should focus on Helping each other. On NEVER burning down neighborhoods out of anger (destruction is easy. Creation is hard). If we are all willing to make our own neighborhoods safe/clean. Wow. Get people working. Get people working together.
Encourage people to start a business. A hair cutting place, a handy man service. Maybe lowes moves in, and starts training inner city people to lay tile, and do repairs. Maybe thousands of unemployed people in a city get together, and start honing their skills fixing the homes in their neighborhood for next to nothing. (By the way, I programmed for FREE to get experience, then got paid A LOT once I had the experience). It beats being angry.
We said NO to "A Media supported and protected candidate who SEEMED to be in this because as Bill Said, she deserves this."
We did NOT say No to anyone who wants to stand with us (whether you voted for, against or abstained) and take our country back from the special interests.
So that... "We The People"
May prosper through our own Hard Work and Ingenuity!
God Bless America, and ALL of its Citizens!

I take it you don't make the rules in your own house?

This is a collaboration website is it not?
With that said, I understand the rules... but they're also just changing them for one day on a whim, why not be consistent?
|

That's the understanding I share with you.
I guess because one sets the rules in one's own abode. I dont recall a pledge of consistency being a part of the contract I entered into a decade ago. I understand what you're getting at, really I think I do.
I also can't help but think that the saying about the tail not wagging the dog to be somehow pertinent.
Anyhow, hope I haven't and sorry if I've offended you or behaved poorly
