Walking back from work this morning when I noticed the dew hanging on the spider webs in the lawn, so I took some pictures with my phone. I thought I would share my favorite, which I just made my new desktop background. If you like it, feel free to use and share it.

3.3Mb?! Run it through TinyJPG[^] and you'll get a 600Kb version with no obvious loss in quality.

Why is this not a downloadable thing?
I'm sure they're building up a nice collection of other people's pictures...

Could be. Automating it would be swell.

You have some mighty busy spiders! Hope you don't wake up one day looking like Frodo...

Nice. My photography is mainly of small and tiny natural things.
Much as I love spring and summer, autumn has the best characteristics for macro-photography, so much of nature giving it's last hurrah before the end; elegant details on seed pods.
That field is quite odd - so covered with webs.

Nice!
OK, the standard question: what camera did you use to take the pic?
And also, very appropriate for the upcoming Halloween day.

I used my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S6.

Wow! I'm impressed it managed to focus on the webs and not some other object. The times I've tried to take pictures of spider webs, my phone (Galaxy S5) usually focuses on something else.

Me too. I took four other shots and this one was the only one that focused on the webs and the dandelions. The others all seemed to focus on the trees in the background.

This is the kind of stuff I mean (about the fall):
Morning Glory[^]
or, keeping with your dandylion theme,

Curry (the orange cat, surprise) knocked over a lamp which broke the bulb, pieces of glass all over the rug. When I plugged in the vacuum cleaner and turned it on, it popped the circuit breaker. The power surge fried my cable modem, so now I don't have "real" Internet access until the cable guy comes tomorrow morning. Currently using my phone as a hotspot, which is working quite well.
Then, an hour later, I hear this thump followed by squeak-squeak -- Earl Grey (gee, guess is color) had caught a mouse (his second in 4 days) in the bedroom! I chased him (the cat) downstairs with mouse in mouth (the cat's, not mine), grabbed a glass and lid, and managed to get Earl Grey to drop the mouse, still very alive and kicking, which I managed to trap. Mouse is now back outside. Hopefully he'll know not to come back where a cat can catch him.
What a fun day for all!

This is the best combination of English language words I have ever seen.
Oh also, big fan of your non-catdescribing work.

Yeah, I know the feeling - I dump live prey as far away as possible most days.
Today was a novelty though - Dij has never brought in a fish before. Only a little one, but gawd knows where he got it. It's brown and dull (and somewhat chewed) and the river is moving far too fast for him to go fishing, and it's too boring to be a pond fish.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

I looked at the image you attached to your CP profile.
If you can get an animated version I'd give you an up-vote.

Check around your neighborhood for gollum carcass. A smart cat would let someone else get wet and then take the fish.
