The next day, that feeling of dreaded anxiety mixed in with a dollop of self-loathing and a general feeling that everything and everyone you know are totally pointless. I don't like that.

Maybe if you're a morning person.
I don't feel good until I get up and wash my face with cold water 
And I don't get really active until somewhere after dinner.
I'm at my best when "normal" people go to bed.
And of course I'm a wreck again the next morning, because I didn't go to bed at that time.
The sad thing about this world is that it's all about morning people.
Why the heck do school/work days start at 8-9!? I do my best and make it at 9:30-10, but in weekends and vacations it doesn't really start until 12-13.

As a morning person, I heartily encourage you* to sleep through the day so we don't accidentally get a good look at you: and those eyes hoping for death so they might again close.
And the air will remain fresh; free of the taint of perpetual morning-mouth.
