It was confirmed by Microsoft almost a month ago (10th of August). It was addressed as 'small', but still addressed in the 31th of August update...
What I found funny, is that Microsoft originally suggested - as a quick solution - to move applications to the same drive where Windows installed... I was thinking how one can move Office or Visual Studio, without reinstalling of course...

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Well, it seems some of us did not see the notification from MS. (That includes me.)
Thanks for letting us know the bug was fixed August 31. It means I can retry the Anniversary Edition on my wife's computer.

Microsoft didn't made such a parade about it - it is a bit embarrassing...

As it should be. Don't they test their OSs on machines with multiple drives?

Those are applications. The suggestion was to move the "apps" - ie: the don't-call-them-Metro thingies that come from the Windows Store.
There seem to be several different "freezing" issues for AU. The one I encountered was intermittent freezes of 60 seconds, followed by "event 129" in the system event log. The fix was to turn off power-saving for my SSD, which had to be done through the Intel RST tool.
There's a massive thread on Reddit[^] discussing a different variety of the problem.

The issue you had appears to be very similar to what I faced on my wife's machine. I solved her issue by rolling the system back to what it was before the Anniversary Update. I will re-install the update once I am reasonably sure the issue has been resolved. By the way: She has Spotify on her machine. She has a SSD and a conventional drive.
On my machine I have dual Samsung SSDs. No problems with the update whatsoever, but I have no MS Store "Metro" apps whatsoever. I have power saving enabled for the drives. I wonder why I was spared? Curious!

If you are in stealth mode using some software, you are hacked.... Visible again at the top in Who's Who.

Well obviously I'm not still in Stealth Mode!
It's pretty simple: when you engage "Private Browsing" / "Incognito" in your browser you "disappear" off the web - and that is reflected in sites you register for. CP doesn't show you in the "Rep list", FB doesn't know who you are, even MyLittlePonyMagic.com hides your very existance until you return to "visible" mode. Allegedly.

Griff doesn't really exist. Sometimes, our resident troll assumes that identity just to irritate the Loungers. The high rep points are also bogus...
