Indeed. It's just that I've observed much more often from liberals displaying a I'm-smarter-than-all-yall-and-holier-than-all-yall sort of attitude.

An old couple with a cat. That's the "side" you see of "Snopes".
I would be willing to bet that the majority of their statements are probably more true when you negate what they state on different matters.

That link you sent me, to that "Realist News" guy. Is anyone actually dumb enough to listen to what he says? Especially cast in the light of all of the items he "features" on the left edge of his page. Also, just listening to how he says what he says - generalities defining generalities (e.g., many people - what does that actually mean?). Well attack the messenger to avoid the message. Seen a lot of that lately, too.
Wait - it's 2016 - there is a vast wasteland of the willing.
Are you one of them?

1. No, this is the Lounge, not the Soapbox.
2. snopes.com. I always get a good laugh when someone tries to disprove one internet source by using a different internet source.

What rants? I see nothing related to that in the Soapbox.

I believe it's about a reply to a post that JSOP posted. Of course, his own biased rants are okay, it's only others he's got his knickers all twisty about.

That name is whispered with reverence and even a little bit of fear in the darkest depths of the internet.

Reread: it's posting (often ludicrous) fallacies, easily checked, but not checking them. In particular, that such is done knowingly and willfully because their beliefs are more important than the truth.*
*That, by the way, is a recursive impasse.

No - you misunderstood what I was getting to. It's not the type of things that are posted, per se, but that people will post things that are readily provable as false, that they know how to prove as false, but choose to present as though it were true.
The question is, and quite a philosophical one at that: If you suspect something is a lie and can check its veracity but "choose not to", so you don't for a fact "know" it to be a lie, does that make it OK? [even from the SoapBox] .
That's my rant - not what's posted in terms of tone, but the display be people about how little regard they have for any truth that doesn't agree with their world view.
