I saw a LEGO turing machine video on YouTube a number of years ago. The original (The LEGO Turing Machine - YouTube[^]) has been plagiarized numerous times, but in my opinion, noone has been able to improve on it.
Until now: Mechanical Turing Machine in Wood - YouTube[^]. This is a true beauty! I am not thinking of its computational capabilies, but I never imagined that I would be captivated by the beauty of a Turing machine. Not at the physial level!
This impressive work really deserves to be known, and honred, by both computer and woodworking guys.

So we now have computers made of brass (Babbage's Difference and Analytical Engines), plastic, silicon, and wood. Any other takers?
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

We need: Bacon, Coffee, and Pizza to complete the Computational Engine Set.

Well developers seem to be (with added trace elements1) so it has to be relevant!
1: Like Beer2 and Chocolate3
2: OK, so not so much "trace" as "copious quantities"
3: OK, so for "trace" read "all of the"

You only need pizza for the GUI, and bacon is only needed for its FAT.
