Hi All,
Is there an issue with Win 10 resetting all devices connected to the USB, I ask as noticed that when I boot or reboot or wake the PC up I always have to turn the Num Lock on, as with 7 down I never really had to, that I remember.
This could cause the odd issue for some of my designs which are using the USB...
|
|
|
|
|
Can't speak for Win10 - but that used to be a BIOS setting. Of course, since it's M$, they might have decided for you what you want and reset the BIOS or do it later on. There's a location in memory that, if set or not controls the NumLock status. I messed around with that stuff in my DOS days.

Nope. I'm using W10 and Num Lock is on by default.
I am not a number. I am a ... no, wait!

Two solutions:
1. just press NumLock at the login display (while entering the password). You should have it activated until you press it again on the same login display.
2. registry hack.[^]
Hope this helps.

We just had to euthanize our 20+ year old cat Tucker as he was in distress due to cancer. He had always been a very friendly cat, and liked to cuddle.
RIP Tucker ?/?/1996(?)- 5/26/2016
I loved the old guy...

Awww...I'm sorry to hear that. We've had to have a few cats put to sleep and it's never easy, even when you know it's in the best interest of the animal. Even though it hurts, it's better than forcing a pet to live with no quality of life.
Cancer sucks arse, big time.
