Hmm that's a good idea except where I'm at it would always be in the way and so would have to put some kind of wheels on it. Got me thinking!

My chair wouldn't budge an inch so I made a swing arm for my keyboard and had to lift one of the arms to slide in or out of it. I think the solidity added to the comfort.

Another problem I would have is that I have an electronics bench next to the computer and I work a lot on it so not sure how I would handle that.
The roll around chair that I have now is a relatively inexpensive model, therefore not real comfortable but to get one that suits the purpose and is comfortable would be out of my financial range.

You could try mount the frame on sofa castors. If you have a hard floor you can slide and rotate on it then. This will also give you some height and reduce the height of the frame needed slightly.
I was looking at pictures of old Austin Maxi seats and none of them have armrests attached! I think the car at the scrapyard must have had custom seats fitted before the crash that landed it in the junkyard!

Yeah if the Maxi had arm rests sounds like it might be custom?
I'm thinking maybe rails and have it swivel, but here we're getting into needing some sort of machine shop, which I don't have at my disposal.

Did you keep the airbag for when your app crashes?

Back when I did this, seat-belts were optional extras and airbags didn't exist!

I'm sorry, but this is the coolest thing I've seen in a couple of weeks. Feed and clothe the kids/buy toys, feed and clothe the kids/buy toys. Ugh, decisions.

Oooh .... I want.
«There is a spectrum, from "clearly desirable behaviour," to "possibly dodgy behavior that still makes some sense," to "clearly undesirable behavior." We try to make the latter into warnings or, better, errors. But stuff that is in the middle category you don’t want to restrict unless there is a clear way to work around it.» Eric Lippert, May 14, 2008

DO people not keep anything on their desks anymore?
Seriously, I don't see a surface to lay a single 8.5"x11" sheet of paper on.
[Edit] Oh, wait...I see this "side table" option. Still way too cramped for the way I work though.

I need code formated to my style of coding.
I looked at Resharper and visual assist, but I don't think they allow you to change the formatting style. Plus they are bloated with crap I don't need and very expensive.
I suppose I could write my own, but it looks very difficult to learn extension writing.

Visual Studio allows you to change the code formatting in lots of ways, and even shows you what it will look like.

Does this mean you need to sleep for four years, or maybe only 2 years to get caught up in your sleep?

And I thought I worked long hours.
