Those are pretty standard failure points for notebooks. And yes, I agree that Apple paid more attention to getting those common failure points robust enough to last. Then again, so do other companies.. but not with every model they put out.

Yeah like I was saying, Thinkpads work beyond once expectations, usually. Just before an year or so, I disposed a P3 IBM thinkpad 10". It worked like crazy for a decade. Only the track-button at the center of the keyboard was gone. everything else worked.

Oddly, that's the same issue I ran into with my t43p .. and I still use it for remote access to work since it's got a 1600x1200 screen. These days it's running Win 8.1, but perhaps soon I'll see if I can migrate it to Win 10, just because.

Apple is just more babble from the big tower. Back around 1996 I got designated to get Apple computers on the internet. Win 95 was a pain in the rear to but no where near as hard as Apple. That was the start of the distaste for the fruit. I have built PCs and installed Windows and Linux. If it breaks I can fix it. My estranged went through 3 mac books before she got one to work. The Apple store did replace them for free.
I do have an iPhone and it's okay. I just wish MS would get there act together and get a Win phone that had market appeal. The integration with my PCs would be awesome.

A bit easy!
But I've had a go this week, so I'll leave it for another - unless it isn't solved by lunchtime.

So I have to create a clue before your lunchtime to have a chance...When exactly that is?

Three hours or so? Before the four hour deadline, anyway.

It amazes me how I am getting dumber and dumber these days. I can't even think of any (super?) hero with those letters.
