He really did know how to make the audience enjoy themselves. He had a recent tour billed as Back - In Spite Of Public Demand

I have a photo of the tour poster from a cinema in some town in Cornwall, possibly Redruth.

It made me sad when I heard the news this morning, he made me happy a lot of times when I was young.
We ate in the same pizza restaurant as him and The Lovely Debbie McGee around 25 years ago. He did loads of tricks for the staff and other customers. Clearly enjoyed making people smile and didn't get fed up with them or performing.

I was running Windows Update and the whole system froze up during the download process, so I rebooted. When it started back up, I got a message saying that unauthorized software was detected and to select a different boot device.
I'm questioning how much I should reinstall... On the one hand, I can't do .NET dev without windows. On the other hand, I just don't give a sh|t.

The real question is: CAN you do it WITH Windows?
Seriously, it sounds like your computer requires a major overhaul!

Ironically enough, I was on CodeProject when it froze...

It's not really irony when CP is loaded in a browser sitting in the background 24/7.

It was a fresh reboot (after running windows update), and I was notified there were more updates. Started a fresh firefox instance and browsed directly to codeproject after starting the subsequent Windows Update process. After about 30 seconds, everything came to a halt. Couldn't even get into Task Manager.

You can use MonoDevelop[^] on Linux or OSX for .NET development.

Can't do WPF dev. I already investigated VS Code, and didn't see any mention of MVC (granted I didn't look real hard)...

Movie Quote Of The Day
If we overshoot this by even the smallest integer, we're dealing with concentrations with extraordinary levels of toxicity.
So get your integers right! get it!

Coming to think of it, the sentence doesn´t really make sense. The smallest integer depends on your integer size, suppose it is 32bit (signed) than that would be -2147483648.
The smallest "difference" is a whole number, thus 1.
A fraction would have been a better choice of words.

I was having a hard time connecting my Phone to my camera Wifi.
It gets into connect-Disconnect loop endlessly. For a moment when basic feature like this goes weird, I thought I got a counterfeit piece or a malfunctioning one from the showroom.
(It's usually a total piss off moment, when you get something on hand after a long wait and it doesn't work well on basic things. The thought of returning back the product and claiming the money Or placing new order and waiting for another eternity, the whole thing just sucks. I dreadfully open the pack & wish everything goes well, in particular when I buy something a bit expensive.)
I was about to call the customer care and start the rant. But I sat back and thought what the heck might go wrong on this little piece of gadget. I was trying multiple things out.
Finally one thing clicked. I got two internet connections at home both wifi routers -ON all the time. I dont know what exactly happened, but something went wrong in one of them and it was interfering with Camera wifi. Dont really know how this happens. When I switched off that particular Wifi router, Phone could connect to the Camera Wifi instantly without any disconnections after. Happy man there

Cry Engine[^] just released version V (5)
Which has native C# support! (And pay "what you want" business model! wonder what that really means?!)
Obviously I felt I think I should give it a go!
But their damn web site, though good looking, just didn't seem to work!
(At least the mandatory create account popup!)
Anyhow.. some google-fu solved the problem!
Get GryEngine on Steam[^]!
Well at work now... Will check it tonight..

I tried to sign up for CryEngine yesterday. Managed to create a login but couldn't get past setting up the account details. When I retried, it wouldn't let me login and it wouldn't let me resign up. Stupid site.
But thanks - I shall d/l from Steam.
