Having OriginalGriff of CodeProject, know the match and the hype it has in IndoPak, is enough to know that there is a lot of hype.

Pakistan vs India, that could end badly. From my understanding of the issues a bit like Catholics vs Protestants in Northern Ireland (except both side have nukes and standing army's!)
Hopefully it will work itself out with voilence but the chance is there

No! Just no!
We are brothers, everywhere on this planet. Just the problem comes when there is a match of cricket.

I just Googled it and I'm actually surprised to find that a Dutch cricket team does exist.
There's even a "Royal Dutch Cricket Federation"
I've never had the torture of seeing or playing a cricket game.
In fact I've never heard anyone mention it outside some English and Indian people here on CP

I also am not a fan of cricket, I never watch the games being played of Pakistan itself. I am much more like a football player, I used to play football so much that I was found mostly in the football ground than I ever was at home. Just as introduction, you may want to see this, NiCe TrIcKz! - YouTube[^] or Football Shoot! - YouTube[^]. Then, I accidently joined programming world and I miss football.
But, the main thing is, my girlfriend, or wife-to-be is from India and man, you can't just feel the hype there is when there is a four, six or an out in either team.
We are very active when there is a match of India and Pakistan. That is the only reason I watch cricket match.

Quote: Have fun with the game (which can take up to five days or so I've read Unsure | ).
Meanwhile I'll be enjoying myself with my Linux VM and Docker Big Grin | Those days of test match are long gone, it's about to end in a moment or two.

We know! They've beaten England twice in 20 over matches!
There's also a Netherlands Baseball team which reached the semi-final in the last World Classic (2013) and is expected to do well in the next (2017). Anything else I can tell you about what you're missing on your own doorstep?

Hi All,
I am trying to get a Win 7 box on the wireless network at my paraents, following Griffs advice I went to a local Computer Shop & bought an 802.11 adaptor. Got it home booted the Win 7 and opened the pack and had the revelation that these days you get the device some badly translated instructions with details of where to download the driver. Okay I am using my Win 10 box to type this but imagine the issues caused by buying the adaptor and not having a access to the driver. Come on! a cheap CD or even the relevant files on the device as a small read flash memory (it's not hard I have designed a device that does that!)

I know what you mean.
You'd have thought that for something that allow you to connect to the internet, they'd provide a driver rather than expecting you to connect to the internet (presumably with the device) first...
It's like when I worked for a VDT manufacturer - they weighed a ton! So for Health and Safety (this was in the eighties, you understand) they added a pamphlet of "how to unpack it" instructions.
First thing that went in the box - the instructions. On top of that was a huge lump of metal and glass, then the (all metal) keyboard, ...
