Have a gazillion rep-points (or part thereof). The misuse of spreadsheets for data storage/management purpose drives me to homicidal rage - particularly when I get called in to sort out the mess of layers of linked spreadsheets into something useable.

Quote: particularly when I get called in to sort out the mess of layers of linked spreadsheets into something useable Oh you would have so loved one of the business critical systems I had to help look after
Well over a hundred (I kid you not) linked spreadsheets spread over 3 servers and more VBA code sheets than I've had hot dinners.

Agreed; for 90 cards you don't need an app. By the time you did the data entry, you'd have a lot of the information in your head.
Of course, if he's accumulating 90 cards every week/month/trade show, an app might be a good idea.

Yes, one that accepts scans. I think those are still available.

Oh boy, software that can read printed text off of a card.
I have bridges for sale in New York and San Francisco.
Hope I'm not being caustic, but I have never seen any package that actually works.
The procedure I've found that does work is...
- Put a bunch of them on the scanner glass
- Open the image
- Type them one at a time, by hand
Tedious, yes, and it costs a lot of time.
However...
With business cards, collected after a face to face conversation with a brand new stranger at a trade show, the word "accuracy", even with the attendant probability of human input error, takes care of the word, "efficiency".

I'd go for the Database, in the end it's more scalable and easier to put in new or delete old.

Must have a database, you need to buy SQL Server Enterprise Edition.
(If this is all you are doing go with the spreadsheet.)

For 90 cards, the storage medium matters not. The bigger question would be how are you going to enter them into your system, whichever you choose? Business card readers are plentiful these days.

Just noticed this while in the middle of writing an article:
Razor code gets formatted oddly when you choose code formatting.
@{
ViewBag.Title = "Home Page";
}
The highlight and the first right bracket aren't really there.
I also noticed that I can use the emojis from the lounge in my articles
I know about Bugs & Sugs and I've reported this in the article location. Just chatting about it here.
Thanks,

Then shouldn't all Ryanair flights be free.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

You think Ryanair is silly enough to promise anything beyond you get on the plane at one place and get off at another?

Now, I personally, don't have a problem with the questionable comment the stewardess made. I would not want to die on a plane, either, especially by ice on the wings.
However, after sitting in the plane for 8 hours, not going anywhere, I think I would want to die then.

At least now in the US there are mitigations for that sort of thing
- If it takes too long, and 8 hours is too long, the plane must return to the gate and the passengers can debark.
- If it takes too long the airline might have to find different pilots because they are not allowed to be working for long periods.
- If it takes too long the airline will be fined for each passenger and it is a substantial amount.

On his first flight the eldest innocently asked me what the brace position was for.
I reassured him that it was to allow him kiss his ass goodbye!
Did I mention - his mother wasn't with us on that flight...
