I'm a big fan of S&G, but this cover does a better job of conveying the concept than the original. Thanks for sharing it...

Next week, Mrs Wife and I will have been together 15 years; then married for 15 years come May. I have been trying to find her a gift that is trivial and yet worthy of the occasion.
The romantic dinner for two [plus two 'waitresses'] has been arranged and I shall be cooking her a five course feast of sumptuousness not seen since last year. But the gift was still unfound.
I have a wonderful card that expresses my continued love and, most importantly, that I am still ever so slightly daft. Yet nothing I have found was right for the occasion.
Until now. There is a certain confectionary[^] which she cannot resist. Sadly, we have not been able to find them in any stores for quite some time.
Until today, Tescos had them at £2.50 a box. One box of boxes later and my dear wife will be a as happy as the proverbial dog.
I just need to keep quiet until Tuesday.

Not really, she does not know of the dark depths of The Lounge.

Every little helps.

Chocolate goes really well with a load of things:
Mint - honest, if it's good dark chocolate!
Orange
Chilli
More chocolate
Strawberry
Salted caramel
Nuts - Macademia and Brazil particularly
Yet more chocolate
Lemongrass
Cardamom
Saffron
Even more chocolate
Brie
...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Pff, go to "Ritter Sport" outlet in berlin and jsut* just create your own frigging chocolate.
I did a nice thing with chilli, flakes, can't remmeber and nuts. It was the best!

This is my favourite chocolate of recent times[^], even though my diabetes stops me having too much of it.

Box of boxes? What is she? A cat? They love boxes.

One box [of chocolates] would be okay for normal beings but for Mrs Wife a shipping box with 8 boxes in it is required.

I can understand that, especially if its something she likes and its hard to come by.
When I was younger I worked at a factory which produced coffee during the summers. They also sold coffee related items and some other stuff to coffee shops and as an employee you could buy what you wanted for the priced the company paid for the stuff + 10%. A few boxes of boxes with walkers butterscotch cookies was bought and consumed.

Nagy, don't we have an anniversary coming up? I'll even profess my dying love for, ummm, confectionary!

No Marc, there are no chocolates. Or to be precise there will be none after she gets hold of them!

A home cooked meal and scare-quotes around waitresses.
Am I correct in assuming the serving staff will have more enthusiasm than professional experience.
PS Conga-rats in advance.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
