Just say it's too far for me! I live 20 minutes from the beach in a nice area with lots of amenities and stuff to do.
However, as I said, what's right for me might be suburban-hell for you!

Oh, I like the beach a lot man. I live in Destin right now and I can walk to the beach from my house. But, I'm also on a mission, which has to take priority ya know. Just sent you that email btw.

Nice place to visit... well maybe not.
My wife is from L.A. and we lived in SoCal, including L.A. for twelve years.
It's too expensive and all the politicians are extremists.
On the other hand, I'll be there for Christmas again this year.

Certainly there has to be a lot of good qualities about it though or else people wouldn't live there. I want to know what those are. The past few days I've been talking to a bunch of negative people it would seem, and I don't really believe LA is as bad as they expect me to believe.
Btw, if you know of some good spots to live that are close to Hollywood and reasonably priced, let a brotha know.

LA is great - don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Thank you! I'm starting to think most people treat it like they treat Macs... they just hate them because they cost more. It's a big place, I'm sure they're will be a ton of great people there.

Ha! My brother tried to live there too, but quickly scurried back to New England!
If I could afford it, I'd move back to San Diego, but not L.A.
My wife says Glendale might work. When I lived there, we were in Woodland Hills which is pretty far out in the San Fernando Valley.

Everyone there is in the movies, and is either superficial, or brain-damaged.

Orange County is a pleasant enough place. Long Beach (Snow Goose and Queen Mary) is worth a visit. And Venice Beach if you like to show off your body - or just ogle the girls.

I was born in Los Angeles, and lived there for 22 years, before joining the military. Los Angeles, is a sh*t-hole and I strongly urge you NOT to move there. If you have to move to California, then head North.

What in particular? Just guessing there are places to avoid if I don't want to be mugged.

Number one is Chicago, and I've met people from Chicago that loved the place. I'd wager it all depends on where you hang out and what you focus on. I'm from New Orleans and even there, you just simply stay away from certain areas. I'm thinking it's the same in LA. So I'd like to avoid the gang areas.

Also, if you go by per capita, I don't see LA on the list after a quick google search.

Question. How loud is your car stereo?
Is your subwoofer so huge that you have to haul it behind your lowrider in a trailer?
Does your amplifier violate NATO strategic arms limitations?
If so, you will fit in fine.

Pretty sure the first comic I read was a Superman - have enjoyed ever since.

I have two problems with this movie.
First, I don't think it knows what it is. Is it a dark and broody Batman movie? Is it an all-powerful, super duper Superman movie? Is it just being made to setup the Justice League movie (Wonder Woman is in it, Aquaman is in it, and The Flash is rumored)? The first trailer made me think of the first choice, and I thought it made the movie look awful. This trailer is a combination of the three, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Second, sans kryptonite, Superman would beat Batman without breaking a sweat, so the whole premise of a prolonged battle between the two (until they unite against the greater evil, Doomsday) is a bit of a stretch.
