I intentionally didn't give the reasoning to keep the game "on". To keep it still on, I only say "10 in binary" is the answer.

That's quite simple ...
the answer is 42

I may well have been out last night.
I may well have had some beers before dinner.
I may well have had some wine with dinner.
I may well have had brandy after dinner.
I may well have not enjoyed the school run this morning.

You've got to be damn careful these days: it only dissipates fairly slowly:
"On average your body will break down one unit of alcohol per hour, and each unit will increase your BAC by 20mg (up to 30 for women). The BAC limit is 80 mg per 100ml in England, Wales and Northern Ireland." (Google)
And 25ml of Brandy is a unit (or more!)
Beers, wine, brandy - at all adds up and it's horribly easy to be over the next day and not even know it...

It's also terribly easy to do a breath test. As I am oft in France, I have a [probably not required] tester dohickey so I can always check meself.

But don't ask me for the one after that

1111111111 is the one after. The original numbers are "10" is bases 10 to 3, so the next two are 10 in bases 2 and 1.

Nope: 1 is not a valid digit for a number (theoretically) based on 1, only 0 would be. Therefore 1 is not a valid number base.
Of course, you could continue at -2, -3, and so on. E. g. for the base -2, the representation of 10 (decimal) would be 11110 ( 1*(-2)^4 + 1*(-2)^3 + 1*(-2)^2 + 1*(-2)^1 + 0*(-2)^0 )

The Unary Numeral System is not base 1. Position does not determine value. It's not really even a numeral system.

Unary is not base 1, but base 1 is a unary system so the point is still valid.
