There is nothing that says that long standing member have accounts that can't be hacked easily: I have no idea what kind of a password you use - and nor do I want to know - but I'm pretty sure some members will have "password" or similar.
If we allow "anything from long standing members" then a simple account hack could flood the system with garbage. Remember that weekend where we were getting several thousand spam messages an hour? It wasn't fun to clean up, not at all...

Should also not be so hard to deactivate a profile on abuse. Not something that needs to take hours, it it?
..and how often is a long-standing account hacked? How much additional risc do you think that is, to justify this obtrusive behaviour?
And do change the text to "being moderated". A text like "is already posted" makes it look as if there's a technical f***up.

Well, it seemingly happened in the past.
But I agree, I do not see why we dinosaurs should start posting spam. Unless maybe for Ariel, the best laundry detergent in the world. Buy now three barrels and get a fourth for free. More information on BuyAriel@Mermaid.com.

Awright - I give in.

How trivial, the hidden keyword was much more fun.

No indication as how large.
I propose 1.500.000+ (has anyone reached this yet? )

How large is large? And how close am I from reaching this number?

I imagine that "large" is defined as a handful higher than whatever you have (dynamic definition).

If that makes you feel uncomfortable, you could add a confirmation page with something like a captcha when a message from such a high reputation member triggers the spam filter. It won't happen very often and probably keeps most of the unsophisticated bots at bay.

So, my black hat in place, how does the filtering system handle a message that's already posted (and passes the test) and then is edited into spam. Or does it handle that at all?

I think members, whether long-standing, or long lying (just plain lies, or clever ones), or sitting judges, should not get any special treatment here in the combat-zone.
If we had a skip-moderation pass-phrase, I'd prefer: "Loaded guns for children"

As a long time rugby fan, which is not so common in France, Saturday evening was a disaster. The mother of all humiliations[^].
That try by Savea just before the half-time was unbelievable... The guy just pushed away three of our players just as if they were made of paper. And better not talk about the second half.
The Blacks are strong - The half finals look promising !

I have a sinking feeling we are going to a hiding next week. Hopefully they peaked against the frogs and will be a pushover for the wallabies.
Now there is a prime bit of wishful thinking!!!

I think the French match was just a "warm-up" and a bit of a warning: "Look what we can do when we want to".
I think OZ will meet NZ in the final, yes - but the Wallabies will be crushed by the All Blacks!
