I always find the CP search unsatisfactory.

I tend to use google to search the codeproject site instead, like this:
Whatever I want to find site:codeproject.com
But I could never get the search to work for the discussion section.

Perhaps it means "include all the results from the first term" AND "all the results from the second term" ...so you get everything added together.
English is a funny language.
In fact, going further, you could say "include all the results from the first term" OR "all the results from the second term" ...but not both sets.
Boolean logic and the English language are occasionally at odds with each other!
- I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

Just use google. You can narrow your searches to a particular site...

I thought you were posting a "let me google that for you." I am now deeply upset that you didn't do that.

Ha. I actually thought about it, so that's gotta count for something.

If I'm searching codeproject I always find google is better. just use the codeproject only option.

I enjoy the Windows ecosystem.
I've the laptop, the phone, and I'll eventually own a Surface 4.
I only recently stepped into this decade by getting a subscription to Netflix and Amazon Prime. I've done next to nothing with buying digital copies of movies and music but it is an area I want to explore because I'll be doing quite a bit of traveling and the ability to pull up a favorite movie on any one of a number of devices is fantastic.
So the question is: What store should I step into and why?
I know iTunes is the dominate force right now but I'm intrigued by Microsoft's Groove product. I'm already in Amazon's world but I've only spent about $50.00. I'd like to make a good choice before spending several hundred dollars.
Thoughts?

iTunes is malware. I don't use anything from that company.
I use Amazon a bit for buying music. I can easily download an MP3 to my PC and copy it to my Android devices via USB very easily.

I'm not interested in the causes; only the effects.

Then you're safe... From what I hear, iTunes is so slow and unstable that it can't possibly have any useful effects.

I had to follow the link - mainly because I assumed that was attributed to our @Pete-OHanlon rather than some older guy.
And I really wish I'd said it...

There are many websites offering mp3 format downloads for much cheaper than iTunes. The one I use charges around 10 cents (US) per track on average. I generally download entire albums instead of single tracks so a typical album costs me only $1.20 or so. Edit: Just checked and the prices went up to between $2-$3 per album and 40 cents for a normal length track.

Since you asked, I use this one. [^] Edit: I haven't used it in couple of years, and it seems they have gone up on their prices...between $2.00 and $3.00 (US) per album. or around 40 cents for a normal length track.

I only use Amazon Prime for music purchases. I do not use iTunes. I use Amazon Prime and Netflix for movies. This setup meets all my needs.

Go with anyone who offer DRM-Free format. Alternative ways:
0) I heard Bandcamp[^] is good & you're gonna support the artists directly.
1) Buy it from website of artist. Ex: Silbermedia[^]*
2) You could pre-order music from your favorite artists / independents through Kickstarter[^]. Crowdfunding campaigns come with some benefits like extras, name acknowledgements in their sites, stretch goals, etc.,
*I bought mini-comics couple of times from that guy so it's just a suggestion to support him. There you could find some FREE music albums

Amazon prime comes with streaming where you can also create offline playlists I believe. I think their catalogue is a bit limited but as you have prime anyway might be somewhere to start?

I'm the guy who still buys physical media and rips it, and I don't see myself changing that any time soon.
