Actually, it does not. It is not a major breakthrough, but it is slightly better than 8.1 (only slight, because I already was happy with Win8).

It does seem to be better than 8.1
But...compared with Win7, that's rather like comparing a polished smelly item with an unpolished smelly item...

Well, I deactivated every communication to Microsoft, as you may when installing Win10, and this is not a problem anymore. I even found it good that :
- Microsoft made it clear about their intentions during the installation
- They provided a way to deactivate communicating information to them
Still not perfect, but light-years better than what Farcebook is doing.

I would have preferred opt-in than see-if-you-can-find-all-opt-outs.

Honestly, the upgrade comes for free, so I don't mind them trying to sneak some data. But still, kudos for being honest about it.

"...some data..."???
I heard there's a key logger on board. If so, I'd call that spying.

Yes, I heard. I.e. I don't know the source of this information anymore and I'm to lazy to search for it. Shame on me, I'm evil.
Nevertheless, something like this should not be activated by default. The user should enable this and have a big fat warning sign pop up at least three times before it's actually activated.
IMHO anything else should be called spying.

Windows 8.1 was way more better than this one. I am not a Start-lover guy, so I never used it, if I had to select something I could simply search it or find it from a Charm.
This one makes it horrible. That XAML based Start window is slow as hell. Finally, if it gets to work Cortana gets in to action and forces me to ask her about something! A lot of similar problems, which Windows 8.1 was not having. Finally, the updates problem. We cannot stop them (unless we stop them from the service manager).

Well, then ... don't With this version, you at least have the alternative.

Not on my system, but I do not have a lot of apps installed.

This I wasn't aware of, indeed not a nice thing.

Take your mouse to top left (or top right) slide down. Nothing happens now.

Why are so called aliens always human like
|
|
|
|

Because if the nutters point at a random rock that doesn't look "human" and say "Look! An alien" everyone will just go "No, that's a rock. "

Regarding the explosion, according to a Sky News anchor this was due to a ship full of "explosions". Obviously a few of those must have gotten out.
