Does anybody read those books, or do they have their own CodeProject site with a Q&A?

"I am new to this surgery thing. Can somebody explain how I ressurect the patient?" Typical QA. You never give us enough information to actually help.
Is the patient dead or just mostly dead? There's a big difference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbE8E1ez97M[^]

I have made sure he is dead.
How do I continue resurrecting? Are you sure this is the right approach?

Try these:
-> There is no recovery from a fatal exception.
-> Try turning it off and on again
-> It didn't die; it crashed
I'm retired. There's a nap for that...

I started with C# in 2011, so probably I might not had that much fun as you people had.

I started with FORTRAN IV in 1975.
The only BASICs I've been forced to use were GDBASIC on HP Minicomputers and HPBASIC on HP 9845 desktop computers. HPBASIC was rather advanced, but GDBASIC was garbage created for in house use at General Dynamics.
I don't miss any of them!

I really liked GQ Basic. I wrote some really cool apps back then.
And I sure do miss hunting down GOTO stafu's.

I never saw GQ Basic, happily. My career nearly ended abruptly, in fact, when I was tasked with porting a bunch of old test programs from GDBASIC on a HP 21Mx minicomputer to a shiny new HP 9825 desktop computer running a modern language called hpl. After wading through GOTOs, chained segments and subroutines that were numbered rather than named, and attempting to interpret hard coded constants in equations over a span of months, I complained to my boss about the crappy programming and suggested that we hunt down and shoot the moron who wrote the stuff. He got really quiet, and kinda embarrassed looking, and said, "I wrote that stuff."
Oops.

The practical use of it is that as you build up rep, the range of things you can do increases: http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/Reputation.aspx[^]
None of them are essential for participation with the site, but they can help to improve it for everybody.
The impractical use is that you can cash your points in for real money, provided you have the highest reputation, and you don't live in Wales. And don't mind the exchange rate, which is only available for conversation to the Triganic Pu.
