Oh noes!
But seriously, how many fart apps are there? I kept scrolling, and scrolling and I haven't reached the end...

Do you ever think they will hit "bottom" with the fart apps?

I want an app that can reply to my wife's endless texts throughout the day without her realising that it is not me who is responding, and then a short while before I leave work it should give me a summary of anything it has agreed for me to do before I get home.
Version 2 should be able to record my phone conversations with her with a view to taking them over too.
I love my wife very much, but she is off work on long term sick and she does get very bored.

Why not give her a programming task?

An app which will analyze CP Q & A questions and ...
... automatically push homework questions to an irrecoverable place
|
|
|
|
|
Or push the homework questions on to a network of devs willing to do homework for money. I'll found said network, having little sympathy for those who think money can buy knowledge. My like of money is much greater than my sympathy there.

Should that developer network exclude the professor who gave the homework?
Or include him/her?

Avijnata wrote: Should that developer network exclude the professor who gave the homework? Well the professor should be best qualified to provide the answer and basically this is a service that "cheats" the educational process. Why can't the prof prove the educational system is as corrupt and unethical as the student willing to buy their answers?

How about a calorie counting app(I am thinking of writing one and if someone else wrote one for me I could sit on the couch eating burgers and watching movies instead of writing it...)
Ability to enter ingredients and their calories per item/gram(need to be able to store brand with ingredients as different brands will have different counts).
Ability to create recipes from the ingredients with a calorie count per portion.
Ability to keep a food diary.

Nice idea. I actually started work on such an app, almost exactly how you describe, but it was targeted to be groundbreaking in mobile, and somebody beat us to it. But as a more academic, but still with potential, exercise it's probably quite well worth my while taking it up again.

I got up off the sofa and onto the coding chair.
Having spent the past two days writing it I now have a calorie counting app - still a lot of tidying up to do but it allows recipes, ingredients and has a food diary with calorie calculations.
Not too difficult really and a fun little project.

Nice. I've been 'on the sofa' all weekend, with all good intent of returning to work on my example app tomorrow. When can we expect the article?

Yes, nice idea, thanks. It could extend into mobile quite nicely, for people working on site, without access to normal office tooling.
