I am referring to the species of goat that is cultivated by the Bedouin and others in the Middle East. The claims regarding the destruction caused by these goats are quite serious.
The idea that low-technical people necessarily live "in harmony" with nature is false. This is not the only example of a low-technical culture that has had a major effect on the environment.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

Judging by their behavior, many computers are also from Venus.

This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.

I think that is still undecided: 5 reasons to believe computers are male/female[^]

I can soooo relate to that. The closest I ever got was ripping all the cables out and dumping a desktop unit into my desk-side waste bin. The photos of it went viral around the office

In the UK, we just hit them with hammers, and no-one gets arrested.
If that's not a plus for the anti-gun pundits, I don't know what is.

Here in the USA anti-gun pundits are a noisy, but totally ineffectual group. If you think you can take people's guns away - I will gladly introduce you to the typical Texan!

Oh, I get the attraction to guns. I've fired enough, and some of them are beautiful machines -- and, as a sport, shooting is fantastic.
It's the idea that they somehow empower you that doesn't wash, with me.
Having the right to own tools that can kill people you hate (try to find a gun site that doesn't go on and on about "pertektin' yersel' frum crimnuls an' ter'r'rists!") means that people who hate you have the right to the same tools.
The maths is just so incredibly simple: If no-one has the right to own such tools, then you yourself are far less likely to be killed with one. The same goes for schoolchildren.
!RocketSurgery;
Only idiots believe themselves to be infallible, and that's just the kind of idiot who believes that owning a gun "empowers" them or provides protection.

Yes, I see that: A more comprehensive rendition than the one from South Africa I posted.
I love the comment from the police officer: "The computer is not expected to recover." It seems the cops have a sense of humor after all.

I suspect at this point the window didn't simply go gray, display a "(Not responding)" message, and provide any option to wait.

On youtube I saw a video of (I think) some soldiers from Sweden taking apart a computer with a MG3 machinegun. I used to be quite good with the MG3, so I would love to try that once.

From the article: "He took the computer into the back alley and fired eight shots into the computer with a handgun, effectively disabling it,” it added Yeah, I'd say so.

I've come real close at time to doing something similer.
New version: WinHeist Version 2.1.1 new web site.

There is actually a periscope type thingy with mirrors so you can see the model village (inside the model village) as if you were stood on the street!
Funniest bit is the tape that plays the church music - it's so old and stretched that it sounds hilarious (or really bad depending on your sense of humour)
