"Simon Tatham's Puzzles" is basically the only Android game I play these days.

I second this. I have it on Android and iPad.

I like the free Solitaire and Free Cell games. Free casino games are nice, like slots.

So I still got AUD$30-40.00 dollars on the prepaid credit card I setup 18+ months ago for Android and iPad purchases. That means I should buy more Apps before anyone else in the family does and before the prepaid expires and I lose what's left.
Lat time I got Carmageddon, Moon Rover and Lode Runner. Now I just got mS PacMan and since Speedtest.net Ookla helped me out today I thought I go for Ad Free.
Can't find a paid for version in the Play Store and looking on the phone I can click on No More Ads after I have run it. This leads to an in App purchase (not liking these) if I go ahead, does this only affect the installation on my phone or will it transfer to my Nexus 7 as well?
Don't want to buy it twice in App when I could have just bought it in the store and pushed it to both devices.

Do you have to log in for the Speedtest app?
I am not sure about that one specifically, but when I have dealt with this in the past using Slacker. Download the app, go ad free which prompts me to pay them via in app, they flagged my account on their server. No download needed and it affected everywhere I used Slacker including my desktop.

If you are purchasing an app via Google, it will stay with your account, not your phone.
I don't think "out of Play store" apps carry over to other phones/devices.
Maybe if you create an account with the App company, then you can carry over to other devices?

that one has placed himself also gives rep points for the solution + that you accept it?
Feels a little like "cheating" for me
if(this.signature != "")
{
MessageBox.Show("This is my signature: " + Environment.NewLine + signature);
}
else
{
MessageBox.Show("404-Signature not found");
}

If you solved it yourself, and it's a "real" problem and a "real" solution, then I don't have a problem with it. It's when you get a lot of those, or when the question is clearly set only to get your solution that I start to scream "Abuse!"
But it smacks of "upvoting your own article" to me!
Others may not be so forgiving...

Hmm well i didn't want to post the correct code of my question cause nobody else bothered helping me, so it me be a "unreal" solution although i described what i did
if(this.signature != "")
{
MessageBox.Show("This is my signature: " + Environment.NewLine + signature);
}
else
{
MessageBox.Show("404-Signature not found");
}

That's not a very nice attitude, is it?
The reason for posting a solution is so that others with a similar problem can see it.
But your solution is basically "I fixed it" - which helps no-one.
I'm not impressed.

Well, it's common to stick to not very nice attitudes, isn't it?
OriginalGriff wrote: I'm not impressed.
I never intended to impress anyone with that, but for the sake of my coders code i'll update that code into the solution when i get home. After all im not the guy that is not nice.
if(this.signature != "")
{
MessageBox.Show("This is my signature: " + Environment.NewLine + signature);
}

{
MessageBox.Show("404-Signature not found");

The "updated"solution should impress you a bit more. Hope my honor is reestablished

I'll second Griff on this one. Nothing drives me more up a wall quite like hunting for a solution to my problem, finding a post that is marked solved on whatever forum and the solution is "Fixed it myself." with no other explanation.
I understand if it was a problem you solved because of a silly little mistake and don't want to admit that you did something so amateur. What if I did the same thing and haven't noticed it yet because I am even more of an amateur than you? At least put in "Hey, I fixed it myself. I didn't notice that I put a semi-colon after the for loop." or something to help others.
Also agree that being able to mark your own answer as correct could be abused, but if someone starts asking a lot of questions and marking them all self answered I would hope that it would be noticed and dealt with. You should get credit for finding your own solution and sharing it with others.

Oh, trust me - it is, and it is!
A number of people have had accounts closed for just that.

What a gorgeous idea!
But I can bag only 10(?) rep points by answering the only question I posted here.
You have just been Sharapova'd.
