Contrariwise, the OP says only "Flat Earthers" in general, not one particular sect, and I responded concerning they who can be traced back to the 1800s.

That is not what I see. Though it does seem that Rowbotham wasn't above throwing some of that in after the fact, it doesn't appear to be the origin of his concept. From what I can tell, Rowbotham should not have put much stock into biblical references, but it's not like he was terribly consistent overall.
Others who followed him seem to have had a greater or lesser leaning in that direction.
Bearing mind that Youtube and Wikipedia may not be the most accurate depictions of any particular subject.

The Flat Earth Society home page lists London as the home location.
Contact :: The Flat Earth Society[^]
And Birmingham is just a short distance from there.
There are multiple threads on the the that site that reference Birmingham.
The above is relevant because the original link in the OP was referencing a follow on from a conference that was held in Birmingham in 2018.
Although true that I can't find anything specific that says it was promoted and put on by some other group for me it certainly seems likely that it was an event that was either directly put together by the Flat Earth Society or by members that belong to them.

Actors or reptilians?
That distinction is important.
Seems more realistic if they were reptilians maybe with mind implants which are controlled by the daleks.

Mind implants are controlled by Bill Gates... They implanted it with the covid vaccine.

Do you think any of these new auto creating AI systems will be the down fall of man? Like for example, say i tell CoPilot, make me a code that is unhackable to humans from the source code I supplied. Then i give it a virus as the code. Then it makes me a code. And somehow it gets released.
I'm not sure this is a hot idea to introduce AI to the world, unless everyone is ready for the end.
Also how is CoPilot using coding ideas from source code we upload without falling under copyright laws? The AI did not invent the ideas if its using source code supplied by us. I think we should force the AI to list all references of where it came up with the idea and list all the open source licenses.
I just read about a Rabbi who used chatGPT to write a full sermon and no one could tell, it was not written by him. https://www.jpost.com/jpost-tech/business-and-innovation/article-729095[^]

From what I have seen of ChatGPT generated code in QA (for the brief time the member account exists) there is no real problem: it's code is so poor that most of the time it won't even compile, let alone run and do anything useful.
These aren't "artificial intelligences" in the sense that they are self aware or even actually intelligent - they are trained expert systems that pretty much parrot what they have found on the internet. And since 90% of that is either pr0n or garbage I am not worried!

To ascertain that, I'd need to engage in a long term, in depth analysis of a good proportion of that material, and so far, no-one has been willing to fund such a project ...

You can get a good visual reference to what these "AI" systems are doing by playing with the various AI "art" programs. It's much more clear there. The fancy part is in how it selects the source material to steal (and yes there are lawsuits filed). After that it's just merging those bits together. In images, it's just an extension of the old programs where they morph one image into another one.
The chatbots are doing the same thing. They don't have anything resembling a thread of consciousness or even an understanding of the material. It's all just "find and merge".

This all sounds very human to me. All progress is incremental from what went before; and these days, we are learning predominantly from the same datasource: the internet. "There is nothing new under the sun" was written thousands of years ago, and it is as true now as it was then. How is AI learning from sources different from humans doing the same thing?
There is also no way that I can ascertain to be sure that other humans are self-aware, and many do not appear to be intelligent. Myself included, particularly before I get my coffee.
I don't think humans are evolving as quickly as the AI.

Yeah the comingling/ambiguity of AI vs ML is unfortunate. None of this cool new stuff even tries to actually "think".
Cries of the end being nigh are not for naught but they're a good bit late.
The internet has been around since the 90's (I know longer), basically, and it was always going to be a bit of a tight rope walk after that.
ChatGPT? Stable Diffusion? These will never inflict 1/2 the threat or damage that modern marketing practices and Facebook and TikTok have already done.

Maybe youโre not such a furry driven mad hatter if you took the diligence to craft you nickname with an @ in it
On a serious note, with regards to your question, non gamedev AI is just a natural result of software getting more complex by each passing day. AI will probably never get self sufficient. If a lot of โAIโ labeled software out there is crappy, that doesnโt mean we should ditch things like chat AI, etc. as a notion.
