King Fisher wrote: how much time do you spend with Code Project per day If I am in front of a computer, CP is usually open. The time I spend here is dictated by how busy I am with other things like actually doing my job and even then, I am checking in periodically. On average, I probably spend about an hour a day checking the happenings here in the lounge or reading a few Insider articles. Today is Saturday, so not so much work as looking for something to learn.

I spend 10 to 30 minutes every weekday before I work on my current projects.
I learned a lot from CP and start to contribute now.

I just gave up and went to work for the site. Now I get paid to be on the site, although its looking for bug, nuisances, and ways to improve the user experience.

Got a recommendation from Amazon today "Android Programming In 24 Hours!: Total Beginner's Guide For Android App Programming" - despite my aversion to books with exclamation marks or "in xxx days" in teh title, I followed the link.
£2.03 for the Kindle edition. "That's cheap," I thought "Technical books are usually loads of money!"
Then I looked a bit closer: 37 pages.
37 pages. Man, that's going to be an in depth manual!
Strangely, all the reviews are five stars...

That fits the really novice guys that learn to use printf and think they are ultra-hackers...
So if in 37 pages you earn to program apps for android the book is gold for them.
Let's think about it... if 37 pages take 24 hours... then probably the book is extremely dense...

So must the readers - I used "look inside" to see the contents page...

If it's anything like the cr@p available on the Windows store, it'll be 37 pages of instructions on how to buy books that teach Android programming.

Ye Gods, they're everywhere![^]
I think I'll write 31 pages (+ front & end matter) on how to buy snake oil.

Don't forget to include a whole chapter: "Check out my other books"

Good point. If I use lots of cover shots and synopses, I'll only have to write about 12 pages of material for each book.

Use a big font: than it's only 12 sentences.

With a bit of MS Office clip-art on each page, twelve short sentences!
Hey, now that we've worked out the business model, we ought to do something with it.
Shall I write a book about it? It'll only take me twenty minutes.
