Well, all of those nice arguments are pretty much nullified by the presence of haggis!

When I was a child, around 5-6, I went with my mother to Scotland to visit a Scottish friend of hers. He tried to convince me that haggis came from sheep that lived high up on the mountains. And because they always walked around the mountain in the same direction, the front and back legs on one side were longer than on the other side.
Surely, he didn't lie to me?!?!?

Everyone complains about haggis*, but no-one recognises that there are great chefs in Scotland.
I mean, where do you think stovies came from?

I've been to the Edinburgh Tattoo once (and I've seen some other stuff along the way), so yeah I'm quite an authority when it comes to Scotland. And I totally agree

On the other hand, I just got back from a week in L.A. and Las Vegas so Scotland is looking like a better bet.

I honestly don't know, but I would hopefully stick to the scientific view that it is now "my part". The recipient in this case is reportedly quite happy.
