I assumed he still lurks, even if he doesn't post.

The magistrate has ordered him to stop that. It's just creepy.

Was he put into the stocks for something he posted before?
The language is JavaScript. that of Mordor, which I will not utter here
This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.

How is that different than anywhere else in England?
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Are you trying to lure DD into making an appearance?

Three things a Luton girl should ask a man before dating him:
1. Do you have a job?
2. Do you have a car?
3. Do you live in it?
(okay, it's a recycled Bullhead City joke, but it works as well...)
What do you get when you put 6 Luton girls in one room?
A full set of teeth.
I've got more, but I'll fetch my coat instead...

It's tougher than expected, making up these clues. Anyway, here's my offering :
For a blanket covering, can one erupt violently?(11)
|
|
|
|

It is harder than you think, isn't it?
COUNTERPANE - anagram of CAN ONE ERUPT
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

I'll not give up the day job then.
Winner!

Good clue. Easy, but good! (honest, I got it without reading Griff's post.) (really!) (Why don't you believe me?)

Ta I need to work on being a little less obvious, I guess.

And anagrams get figured out in no time anyway.
Your time will come, if you let it be right.

Oh, I dunno - I like 'em when they're reasonably easy - and counterpane isn't an everyday word, but isn't to obscure either.
It was one of those, though, that as soon as I looked at i thought 'anagram ' then I counted the letters - right number, then it's just a matter of looking really hard!

I'd rather hoped that people would count the letters in "for a blanket" as well. Ah well.

|

That's exactly what I did.
And once you know it's an anagram, it's pretty obvious.

It's not easy - it just looks like it should be, and then you either end up with one that's far, far too easy or far, far too hard
I think I prefer this version of the CCC to DD's - because you get a variety of setters and you can't "get used" to the way one person thinks.
And now it's my problem: I have to work out a clue that isn't too simple (like my "BACON" one was - I thought it was a good 'un!) or so difficult that I have to do it again on Monday...
