I was thinking MORIA
MIA = I am, dancing
OR = gold, ie part of mine
MORIA being a mine in LOTR.

I like your solution, but it doesn't quite fit the clue.
For your solution the clue would need to be more like:
"I am dancing around part of mine"
Cheers!

Generally speaking proper nouns are not acceptable. However, more importantly, your clue does not contain a definition part. So the answer is anybody's guess.

I have to agree with Pete Richard - it does need a definition of the answer.
Perhaps
I am dancing with a part of mine in Vice City? (5)
would do it?
I am dancing IAM (anag) MIA
with a part of mine MI in Vice City
MIAMI
(From Miami Vice, but inferring incorrectly that it's Grand Theft Auto related)
But you shouldn't use proper names anyway.

During his normal boring lecture, a professor says "In some languages, a double negative is a positive, and in others, it is a stronger negative. But in no language is a double positive a negative."
And from the back of the lecture hall a voice comes, "Yeah, right!".
Meta: "Sarcasm".
