I find myself in the odd position of agreeing with Boris. The bloke is a scientist, not a media w**ker.
If we chose our space scientists on the basis of sartorial elegance, we'd not have made orbit yet, let alone landed on the moon or any other heavenly body.

It's only the PC idiots (largely media wonks) who find anything offensive, largely because they want there to be. Rather than give an apology, he would have been better off giving a rendition of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39YUXIKrOFk[^], or his impression of Father Jack.

I give up! I don't think I've seen that movie...

Oh please don't tell me you ran out of movie-quotes and planning to watch as many movies as possible this week to fill up the void..

Just spent a week doing a prototype of a nasty little tool to import/export/edit 1000s of rates, they spent a week breaking it and discussing and modifying the requirements, I'll spend another week coding it up, they will spend 3 weeks on testing and UAT. We will then wait for a green zone for deployment to production.
All to save 2 DAYS A YEAR, elephant, I forgot to ask how often they need to do this process. Just one question and I could have assigned it to the bottom of a very deep pile, bugger!

Yeah the BA exclaimed in exasperation at the end of an hour long meeting with the users "but you only do this once a year", my reaction is decidedly not lounge material.

Is feeling like a right idiot better than feeling like a left behind ?
While we think about that ... you're lucky to have a job ?

If, like moi, you have, for years, been baffled/misled/hornswoggled by the bizarre dys-organization and dys-content of MSDN technical documentation for C#, WinForms, etc. ... I mean haven't you ever wondered why, on the support forums, each message is repeated twice ?
Well, you may (or, may not) be chuffed to learn that an ex-employee, Elle P. Hant, has revealed that what has appeared to many as the scatter-shot chaos of an explosion in a compost pit is a deliberate educational strategy based on (hush-hush) research into disfluency in the cognitive psychology of learning: [^].
Elle, hiding incognito, living on take-out never ordered from the same restautrant twice, in fear her MS stock options will be confiscated, in the Consulate of a small South American country in Seattle, Washington, is rumored to be planning even more revelations about MSDN's subliminal conspiracies.
But, will we ever know why they don't present all the documentation in Comic Sans [1][2] ?
[1] At this time it is not clear if the July 4, 2012 announcement-graphic by CERN of evidence for the Higgs Boson, which used Comic Sans, has any connection with Microsoft's failure to use it on MSDN. The official story was: "Gianotti, the coordinator of the CERN program to find the Higgs boson, provided a compelling rationale for why she had used Comic Sans. When asked, she said, 'Because I like it.' "
[2] The quote from Gianotti, and the story of the fascinating research by David Dunning into the effect of fonts on "believability" and reader bias are in an excellent essay here: [^].
