Many years ago, one of my countrymen fell for the scam. He got so mad when he did not receive the promised payment that he went alone to scammer country to reclaim back his remitted money and he never came back or heard since.

For the last few days, my personal Outlook has been performing like a pig. Randomly freezing for several seconds at a time when selecting new messages. It seems my 19GB PST file may be to blame.[^]

I'm afraid you'll have to get rid of all those "add 3 inches" mails that you were holding onto until you had the money to spare.
I wanna be a eunuchs developer! Pass me a bread knife!

I already did. After I started getting add 6 inches mails they were redundant. Also I've managed to respond to a few of them recently. Just call me Tripod.

My personal Outlook's not been real good lately either; been raining, been hard to concentrate, headache, etc.. Hope my outlook will improve tomorrow though?

IF you're expecting your outlook to improve when the weekend ends and the work week starts, either your job is truly epic or your home life is a disaster. I really hope it's the former.

Pure jealousy I assure you, as I grind away at an AngularJS tutorial for work, not for fun, I sit here thinking I could be out doing what I want instead of this! Sooner or later these buggers are going to stop paying me - PLEASE!

I work almost as many hours as I used to but when I want and on the things I want. Am remodeling a house, learning to program the Arduino Due [first shot at ARM processors], learning Eagle[^] [so I can create my own PCBs], photography, camping, hiking and the list goes on.

crApple Elephanting over power users. Color me totally unsurprised.
Meanwhile, in MS land the Elphants keep parading as well. Yoinking 6GB out of my main PST into a secondary one only took about 45 minutes.
Compacting the old one down to recover SSD space is ongoing and has taken 4 hours to squeeze out 2GB of empty space. All this is being done while a model dialog is keeping me from accessing my accounts.
Meanwhile as for elephants hiding in the corners; my version of outlook will corrupt PSTs larger than 20GB (2013 lifts the save limit to 50GB). I was within 5% of the danger zone; and never got any warning of the problem.

I'm on Outlook 2010 and have a 29GB OST. I don't even bother sitting through the 6hrs of compacting to get that 5% bonus anymore.

Unless I'm mis-remembering which version upped the limits, your .OST is a ticking timebomb. OTOH if you have a copy of everything on the exchange box it might not matter.
I'm stomping on mine because until I stop procrastinating and finish building my new box, my SSD is near capacity and creating a new 7GB PST for the 6GB of archival data I pulled ate half my remaining free space.

After about 14 hours of compacting I've gotten a bit over 20% of my space back (19 GB -> 15). Hopefully the elephanting thing will be done before I'm back home.
