Cars don't kill people, badly maintained roads on a wet day kill people.

Sooo.. roads are terrorist, too?
Why are we spending precious tax dollars on terrorists?

And while we're at it, close all the schools and shopping malls. Then there'll be no more murderous rampages.

You must not have driven in the USA. Idiots people in cars kill people. (I blame Grand Theft Auto).

Putting an Uzi in the hands of a nine year old will give you a Darwin award.
Yep, seems legit.
I feel a bit sorry for the kid though, she didn't choose her parents.

Definitely Darwin at work. Years ago, I coached t-ball. There is NOTHING more lethal than a 5 yo with a baseball bat. I learned to never, ever let go of the bat until I was ready to dive out of the way.
This instructor is was an idiot.

Sorry we didn't get to meet up. We spent the first week of the holiday in Budapest and didn't make it down to Fured until the Monday after you left. Anyhoo, hope you had a good time and enjoyed our lovely lake.

No probs, we had quite a good time anyway.
We noticed that most restaurants had more or less the same menu.
With one quite brilliant exception in Tihany, that also brewed their own beer.
Also noticed that the best marhapörkölt I tried was also the cheapest, served at a roadside vendor in Badacsony.
I had a small but quite fitting present with me, it'll just have to stay in the cupboard (next to the Gin) 'til next possible time.
But I do wonder, did you receive any texts from me? We had quite some problems within our little group with a flaky SMS service.

At some level I can't help thinking that it's a shame she didn't take them out too, although that would be even worse for this poor kid. It's a shame that they can't be charged with child abuse. I hope her therapy bankrupts them!

0) With a young (or novice) shooter, you NEVER let them fire a fully automatic weapon.
1) Even if you let them use a semi-auto, only put a SINGLE round at a time in the magazine until you AND the shooter are comfortable with their ability to control the weapon.
2) This guy was a dumbass because he broke rule #0 and #1 above. I'm not saying he deserved to die as a result of his mistakes, but still...
End result - he's dead, and the 9-year old little girl is most likely mentally damaged.

They can fire FA. But you don't give them a full mag. 3 rounds, maybe, to start.
And you're a fumduck if you stand to their left when they go FA. (Yeah, but getting hit by brass is better than getting hit by lead.)

To see you both take this situation and try to justify it by taking the line that it "is ok to let a nine-year old girl fire guns, even automatic ones if it's done safely" is just f***ing hilarious.

You have a disturbing sense of humor.

I didn't justify anything - I stated that the "instructor" was a dumbass. As long as we're on the subject, though, I see nothing wrong with a 9-year-old firing a gun with supervision and reasonable precautions.

People do stupid crap and die because of it every day, I can't believe the press this is getting. Oh wait I guess this is more important (because of the cool video) than poverty, hunger, homelessness, etc.

Very true. Apparently though, kill video + gun control lobby = main stream media saturation.

A CC containing French words and the word "French" about ammunition. O the irony.
