We definitely do. It's very easy to take it for granted, and that's part of being human. Only the lessons in time can teach us to appreciate life more than we already do. It's a sad part of reality, but in the end, I think it's worth it. Thank you.

Losing a parent is tough. I lost both of mine (5 days apart) over 15 years ago. Mother to cancer, father to a broken heart. It took many years before I had my first day without a painful memory about those days.

Sad to hear. My father walked into the hospital laughing and joking and died of congestive heart failure 7 days later. Be strong in this very rough time.
