Life is an open-ended multi-choice experiment - the only way to "fail" is not to make any choice.

I understand. Leaving my previous work digs was bitter-sweet. To this day, I still miss most of my colleagues; great bunch of people, and most, a pleasure to work with.

Yeah, that's how I felt after my divorce. Well, except for the attachment to the old part.

As soon as you leave the the current company, the great times you had add up to your "Best moments" stack and the not so great moments add up to your "Thank god I am out of there" stack. In any case you should feel better to the choice you got to explore new world!

I just got a Silverlight updater turn up on my machine offering to update my plug in. As I am under the impression some dumb bastard has castrated my development platform by withdrawing support for this platform I decided to investigate via the Learn more about this update .
It takes me to a website [^]telling me it is going to update my version to 4.0.60531.0. and was released some time in 2011.
The scary thing is that my user base may attempt to do this, while most do not have admin rights there are a few who this will probably screw up their system if they apply the upgrade. I predict the minions are going to be pissed with MS over the next few days.

Youch. I wonder if that's related to the IE patch that is apparently SO bad that it warranted mention on a Country Music radio station.

Random Question From Out In Left Field Of The Day
If you could have one superpower, what would it be? (The ability to have all abilities, and other things of that ilk, are not acceptable answers)
Mine would be transmogrification.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Not a kind of superpower, but I have always wanted to have Eidetic Memory..
Whether I think I can, or think I can't, I am always bloody right!

I would have said that too, but I'd forgotten about it.

It's worth remembering that some current thinking is that the Universe will just end up as a sparse dust cloud one day. I'd rather not be around for that, especially forever.

I would like the ability to be able to function without sleep.
Spending a third of my life unconscious is wasteful. Think how much more I could achieve if I didn't need to sleep!
