From my original message:
A friend of mine recently retired as a Police Inspector in Merseyside Police. He has told me that his old sergeant when he enlisted had caught the "highly christian singer" orally pleasuring a well known, bearded British actor (who famously played a grumpy surgeon in a series of 60's comedy films and was also the manager of the UK Ice Hockey team at one time) in the back of a Rolls Royce behind the Empire Theatre in Liverpool

Yeah, the big fat one. Dear oh dear, what an image!

But Cliff?, Umm what?

I know what you mean. I know I never liked his music (saccharine drivel for the most part) or his holier-than-thou attitude, but I never suspected him of fiddling with young boys.
But...to get and execute a search warrant on an allegation 30 years ago they have got to have something. You don't go on a court sanctioned "fishing trip" on someone that rich and "clean-cut".

Make up some child abuse allegations, find no evidence, drop the case, goal accomplished - reputation eternally ruined.

Okay let us search his property twenty some years after the alleged incident.

I get the impression that stepping into Cliff Richards house would be like stepping 20 years back in time

If you say so, when do you want to do it and where shall we meet up?

I hear he's also been doing things with young ones, and will soon be up on a serious charge!

And the really weird bit is that everybody expected the Spanish Inquisition!
They made appointments 30 days in advance...
