Notice the door handle on the front. It was special
A very nice car!
Starting to think people post kid pics in their profiles because that was the last time they were cute - Jeremy.

Learn to drive in a Ford pickup. Dad used the truck for deliveries, so when I wrapped it around a tree they got me a '62 Ford Falcon, this was around 1973.
You could not kill the car. Put in new floor boards when the old ones rusted out. Swore it ran on four of the six cylinders. Vacuum wipers that when you step on the gas the wipers quit. Just add oil and occasionally gas and away you went.

That what I loved with that old Toyota - all you had is some glue to keep parts in place and you were OK...

Mine was a 1970s (believe 1974) old VW Beatle (original from Germany). It had a nice red colour, but seats where gone. Never had real trouble with it..
The signature is in building process.. Please wait...

Drove: This[^], but with a line of rust running about an inch above the bottom of the doors. At least until I got busy with the plastic padding and spray-paint. The interior re-defined grey.
Owned: One of these[^], but featuring original pressed-steel wheels, highly tattered roof and rust. Lots or rust. Maintained the thing myself for years, until a combination of putting myself back through uni and not being able to find work afterwords forced me to sell it. Was like dating a slightly psycho model - good to look at, was an ,erm, excellent ride, but would treat you very badly and let you down at the most inconvenient times.

Best car ever[^]!
Apart from the fact that it put out less Hp than a lawnmover and weighed as much as a Sherman tank while only being equipped with drum brakes. Still loved it!

I had two Mazda (6 and 323) in the last 12 years - the 6 was thinking it knows the road better then me, the 323 was in the garage all year...

I assume it does not count if you could not reach the pedals. As a 2 or 3 year old. I somehow obtained the keys and was able to get my dads truck started and in gear.
And the real answer was my first car was a 2002 Ford Escape although I had regularly parked and driven cars around the block for close to 20 years before I had a license (which I obtained at 30).

A 1983 Talbot Horizon - it drove forwards and backwards, that's probably all I can say about it compared to my current 7 air bag, pre-tensioning force limiter seatbelt, all-in-one satnav, stereo, car computer, reversing camera equipped car.

I'm guessing not to buy Lancias, or the need to better avoid puddles

That and more: that you should never assume that all cars of a certain make, model, year, and specification will share common components: Lancia fitted whatever came to hand. Trying to replace the distributor cap the first time...
