Turn your sarcasm level to 11.

"I controlled my laughter and simple said "No,I am very busy,so I can't write any code for you". The moment they heard this all the smiling face turned into a sad looking face and one of them farted. So I had to leave the place as soon as possible."

In other words we are able to read and follow instructions and we need to be able to learn quickly.
In my early IT career the acronyms RTM and RTFM were to be heard regularly, despite the fact that the person uttering those acronyms could quite easily have helped me.
This does seem to be what characterises the general skills required in IT, there's a member of my family who appears to be incapable of following instructions while I can - guess who has difficulty figuring things out on a computer despite having used computers daily for longer than I have?

You see, in this world, there are two kinds of people - those who understand sarcasm and those who don't. Smile |

Yes but now you get SMART TV's , and we're back to "My TV doesn't want to work with the internet" (Causing using the word connect isn't in their vocabulary )

I remember one time I was sitting in a pub and this lady told me that her and her BF just got a computer.
I said something like "that's nice", as if I cared.
She then said that they would have o invite me over for diner.
Right, as if that will ever happen; I thought to myself that would always have another engagement if asked.
You never invited me over for dinner before but now you want me to come for dinner and no doubt set up our computer.
Once you lose your pride the rest is easy.
I would agree with you but then we both would be wrong.

-> My car Needs more Sound, you know how to wire my subwoofer and stuff?"
-> "Interesting... may you look after my telephones , they rang all togehter, now the don't"

I am developer but started off as a tech so I can indeed troubleshoot hardware. When people ask me what I do I always say I am a tech ... to avoid having to explain what job involves.

There's an annual contest at Bond University, Australia, calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.
This year's chosen term was "political correctness".
The winning student wrote:
"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of sh*t by the clean end."

That's not quite right. It should also include something about defining which end is clean.
You'll never get very far if all you do is follow instructions.

I'd like to know how big the minority is. It seems to be everywhere, feeding on itself. And the trouble is it can do real damage, as well as making the planet a more and more sterile boring place.

A couple of my friends have a game company. They just released this[^]. You guys may like to try it as a time waster.
-edit-
Not sure why this is getting hit as spam. I'm not the first to post a time waster. Just because I know the guys who wrote it, doesn't change anything. If you're going to down vote/spam at least post your reason.
