In addition to what the others have said, if you have been working on it for a year, it was probably started before upper management made the decision to divest the business unit. At which point they wouldn't stop it because that could alert people that the sale was in progress and potentially lower the price they might get for it - or even the stock price of the company as a whole if investors think it's a desperate move.

I imagine one of the first things they will do is re-implement it in FoxPro again, because that's what some manager's highschool kid knows.

Russia loses control of gecko sex experiment satellite[^]
The engine of the Foton-M4 satellite, with several experiments on board, has stopped responding to ground control.
All other systems are intact, the Progress space centre stated, including "one-way" transmission of information.
[...]
The Russian Space Agency, Roscosmos, said the six tonne satellite could continue to operate on its own "for a long time".
I wonder if any of these Geckos was called Major Tom[^]

'Long' being a relative term... compared to the life of a fruit fly.

This[^] is probably the best cover of that song I've seen.

Perhaps Russia can claim insurance reimbursement from GEICO!
PS. For those not in the US, GEICO is an insurance company that uses a gecko in its advertisements.

I seem to remember someone wrote an article about an application launcher but can't find it.
Anyone? Thanks.

Thanks but no. My mistake. I'm looking for something like Launchy or Executor. Type in a few characters, autocomplete matches the keys and then launches the app/doc/folder/etc.

Everything[^] should be usable for your purposes, but there isn't any CodeProject article on it I'm aware of. It is not strictly a launcher...
