Fine. I changed mine to a photo from a week ago. Satisfied?

Yes! Although you're holding that chainsaw like a gun man. I won't ask.

Well, I finally realized the gun was just an added and unnecessary step when taking care of annoying neighbors, but muscle memory tends to linger for a while.

I update mine weekly.
But, since I don't appear on CCDs the dog behind me always ends up as my avatar.

I reckon you need to bring back your old profile pic. No, not that one, the other one. With the oil.
On a completely different note I've been tempted to introduce profile pics on the messages in the forums but...hesitated. Would it be encouraging to everyone, or...off-putting?

More to the point: would it take up any more screen real estate? If so, I'm against it for one!

Yeah, but what about the profile pictures?

Depends what the community looks like in the flesh. Likelihood is it will make this a very disturbing place...

Profile pics in the forum? Where? I see nothing! Nothing!
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

If you want to see the picture of the poster then hover over their profile link and voila! Therefore, no need to go to the trouble and download overhead of putting tiny pictures of each message poster.
I vote for don't bother.

I think it would be cool. It's just nice to get an idea of who everyone is ya know. Much better than just a screen name.

NNnnnoooooooooo next you will go all touchy feely on us and want us to register our emotions and what we are doing today.
I think there is a fair percentage of us who have absolutely no interest in the more social aspect of the interwebs.

It's possible to set the cursor-hover to reveal the eyesores (as I have) - so, in that sense, there's no actual need to post the pic next to each post.
If saving this task allows you an extra 15min nap, enjoy.

I think you should position the profile pics so it looks like the poster is actually speaking their words.
And animate them for a more realistic effect.
Because that's what the World Wide Web is for, dammit!

Associating a phone-number or a picture could lead to easier tracking. Face-recognition is advanced these days, and there's camera's everywhere.
I can show you the other fingers, if that's helpful?
